Colour Me Crazy w/Polkadoodles

We are back with the most adorable Polkadoodle images - they have several of these penguins (Winnie White) and I adore them; isn't this one the cutest!!

I colored the image with Copics then added some stickles glitter for snow with my finger; after I was completely done, I added dots of Glossy Accents with with chunky glitter but I REALLY didn't like it, so before it dried, I took a flat paint brush and went back and forth to move the glitter around and I like that much better. I added some glossy accents and layered it on to some patterned paper; the red, white, pink one is actually from a Valentine paper set, but I love it; I paired it with some olive green from a super old paper pad (use those scraps girl) and called it good.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join us - we so love seeing your creations!

Winter Wonderland - LTSCB

Hi friends! Welcome back to another super fun challenge at Love to Scrap! This month we are focusing on winter wonderland. Have any of you purchased the Suzy's water color images? I purchased the Snowmen set, I think it was last year's release. Anywho even though they are printed on water color paper, I love coloring them with Copics - I have always loved using Copics on water color paper - odd, I know!

This card came together so quickly, I added lots of white gel pen details, some glossy accents, finished it off with some silver glitter card stock layered onto a pink card base. Super simple!

I hope this inspires you to join the fun! Thanks for stopping by; may your day be filled with blessings!

Clean and Simple * 2 and in Rainbow Style - MIUCB

Hi friends - I have been very absent, but for good reason! I had oral surgery November 13 and my father is back in the hospital. Goodness, lots going on!

This month at Mix It Up we are focusing on Clean and Simple and I will be the first to admit, I tend to struggle wth Clean and Simple! But I'm here with a twofer in rainbow style, zero embellishments, no stamping and no ink!

I bought the Pinkfresh Studio striped dies and spent an entire day cutting rainbows! I have so many rainbow cards coming your way, you might get tired of them. HA!

I adhered the various rainbow stripes to copy paper then die cut the image twice using the Reverse Confetti THANKS die - once from the rainbow paper, once from white card stock and paper pieced to make two easy cards. The first card is plain and simple, the 2nd card I added some ink blending and splatters, but nothing else.

I hope these inspire you to join the fun! Thanks for stopping by; may your day be filled with blessings!

Holiday Blessings - Colour Me Crazy

Hi friends and welcome back to another week of fun at Colour Crazy! This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo; definitely some of my favorite digital images!

Remember, our theme is always Anything Goes, just make sure some part of your image has coloring then join the fun!

I used the Snowman Set 02; so many adorable images! I picked out a piece of paper from the Reverse Confetti Winter Solstice pad and created my card and coloring around it. I thought the polka dot background was perfect for my little snowman who also has polka dots on his hat and scarf! I colored the image, added puffy paint and a white puff to his hat, glossy accents to the polka dots on his hat and scarf. For the penguin, after coloring with Copics I used a 'nubby' rag to create lots of texture. I finished the card off with these cute Christnas lights from Honey Bee and a sentiment from Right at Home's Peace Love Joy set.

Thanks for stopping by; have a great day!

MIUCB #43 - Make Your Own Background

Hi friends - hope this post finds you safe and healthy!!

This month at Mix It Up, we are creating our own backgrounds, and I am here with a photo overload!

I was inspired by Pinefeather and her YouTube video, HERE. I created the backgrounds using TE's Just Vine Background then stamped and die cut a ton of these images (Beautiful Blossoms), colored with copics and adhered to the backgrounds. The main panel was cut with THIS die. Sentiments are THESE from MFT.

This card was inspired by Kelly; I love her creations - I always find inspiration from her.

I stamped the background with TE Sugar Cube; the images were die cut from light pink card stock, then stamped and colored. I added chunky glitter to the center of the flower and then randomly on the leaves. The sentiment is from SSS, Thinking of You.

Hello Beautiful

Remember THIS card? Here is the other one in different colors!

I blended on a variety of distress inks, I also blended another piece in which I die cut the flower and leaves, then stamped; hence the color goes all the way to the edges. I added some darker shading with a copic and spritzed with sheer shimmer; hard to see in the photos, but super pretty IRL!

I splattered on the same inks then layered this Bold Border Polka Dots by Papertreyink; I love the bold statement it makes!

Hello Beautiful - Pink and Yellow

Another card I made months ago but haven't had the time to post, story of my life! Pandemic or not, life is still insanely busy!!

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well, safe and healthy!!

I made two of these cards in different color combos, both made the same way. I'll post the other one soon.

I blended on a variety of distress inks, mainly pink and yellow, I also blended another piece in which I die cut the flower and then stamped; hence the color goes all the way to the edges; same for the leaves. I added some darker shading with a copic and spritzed with sheer shimmer; hard to see in the photos, but super pretty IRL! I believe the sentiment is from a Gina K set; but their site is down right now, so I can't confirm. #whoops

I splattered on the same inks then layered this Bold Border Polka Dots by Papertreyink; I love what a bold statement it makes!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a magnificant weekend!

Ho Ho Ho - Doctor Digi

Welcome back to another fun challenge at Colour Crazy; we hope you will join the fun where Anything Goes as long as coloring is included (no pre-colored images). This week we are featuring images from Doctor Digi, I used Selfie Santa! Doctor Digi has so many images, you can spend a couple hours checking them all out - I encourage you to take a peek!

I kept my card very clean and simple, coloring the image with Copic markers and that's it!! I used to participate in a design team (company is no longer in business); but the owner of the company lived overseas; she was so gracious to gift me a product very similar to our puffy paint. The bottle literally has ZERO labels on it but I remembered I had it, dug it out and added lots of snow - only appropriate, right?

Also, before printing the image, I added 'Ho Ho Ho' to the phone screen - like that's the screen saver. I really wanted to flip the image and put it on the phone, but such a tiny space, I couldn't make it work - or I'm not that talented, THAT is a real possibility! 😀

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you will join our challenge of Anything Goes, we love seeing your creations!

Stay safe and healthy!!

Love To Scrap - Fall Back

Hi friends - welcome back to another challenge at Love to Scrap! This month our theme is 'fall back' and hands down, there are two things I love most about fall: cooler temps and leaves changing colors. And I really love leaves that change to red, that's definitely my favorite so I used a newer to me stamp set, Mimosa Musings, and created a card offering thanks and my favorite color for fall!

I paired the red with brown for something different, but definitely a sign of fall, don't you think? I originally stamped the large mimosa on the card front but I prefer the rule of 3, so added two smaller ones in 2nd generation stamping, same colors.

The sentiment is stamped in TE Mocha and the inside says "I should say thanks"; I mounted the focal panel on PTI Fine Linen, then PTI Pure Poppy. I adhered everything in the upper left-hand corner for something a bit different. Added some splatters (no surprise eh?) and some clear acrylic drops.

Thanks for stopping by!!

MIUCB - Distressing + Anything Goes

Hi friends - welcome back to another challenge with the Mix It Up team! This month we focused on distressing, or as always, anything goes!

I created this panel a month or so ago and have struggled to cut it up - 😆! I used this video by Debby Hughes, it was so very helpful. You will see another water color panel I did where I failed to take time to build up the color...lesson learned.

I kept this card SUPER simple; I used the 'hi' die from The Stamp Market; the 'friend' is from a discontinued Verve Visual stamp set, but I loved the elegance of the font. I distressed the edges of the water color panel as well as the embossed black flag; I thought about sponging the edges but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. 😁

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you will join us at Mix It Up this month, we enjoy seeing your creations!

Take care, stay safe!

Sketchbook Roses - Purple or Yellow?

Hi friends - HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I made both these cards ages ago, now I'm trying to get caught up on posting. 😁

They are basically identical, just changing up the colors. I used the Sketchbook Roses and coordinating die from The Greetery for both. A fun color wash in the background with lots of splatters; fun sentiments and sequins finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Take care, stay safe!

Flowers...or polka dots?

Hey friends - welome to a new fresh and shiny week! How ya doing?

Oh you know, sometimes you color something and like nothing about it...although I did use the colorless blending technique taught by Yana Smakula, which I adore...but that's about it. 😁 I did stamp the image directly on to TE Cupcake card stock, so that added a unique color to the flowers.

Once I colored the images, I covered it with a stencil, blended on lots of polka dots and then I liked it a bit better. 😉 I splattered on some white and black paint, added a strip of pink striped paper and a tiny hint of black glitter paper to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today; here's hoping you have a great week ahead!!

Take care, stay safe!

Tropical Vibes

Hi friends - did you see THIS tropical card?

I mentioned I made two cards at the same time, a two-fer, and this is the other one. Everything is identical except I used tropical flowers instead of the flamingo; I also reversed the colors of the flower and added lots of glitter!

BTW, I have spent well over an hour trying to work with my photos, they converted to a unique format, EMF, so I used MULTIPLE free sources to try to convert them to JPG, but I could only get one of the photos to convert - so sorry, but life must get moving today - I can't keep fiddlin'. 😉

Hope you enjoy the brightness!

Take care, stay safe!
