Valentine's Day + 1 Month + 1 Day

Did you see the tags yesterday? Well, there was one more project I had made for Valentine's Day and failed to share - and HOW could I have done that as I absolutely LOVE these images! :( #gofigure

The images are from Stamping Bella, Valentine Chicks. The base card (A2 Vertical Scalloped) as well as the inside die cut with arrows are from Papertreyink - I just think the Mix and Mat Hearts die set is adorable!

I colored the images with Copics; the background is a smooshed background using Distress Oxide Inks with some black splatters thrown in.  I die cut the images, accented with glossy accents, glitter and a white gel pen, then stacked them up. Added the sentiment with MFT Extreme Black ink, some stamped hearts, flags from left over scraps of paper, and mounted with fun foam.

Thanks for going back in time and sharing love - the world ALWAYS needs more love! Have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Valentine Treat Sacks

I made 3 different Valentine treat sacks - larger than THESE and had SO MUCH FUN making these; I used the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers which includes embossing the topper AND making a handle; how stinking cute, right?

These are filled with 3 different kinds of kisses and 2 different kinds of Dove hearts. #swoon

The images are from Stamping Bella, Hearty Chicks and Box of Chocolate Chicks, colored with Copics.  The designer paper and vellum hearts are from Verve Visual and Hero Arts Nested Hearts.

Quick and simple; yet super cute! Thanks for stopping by; I have a couple more LOVE projects to share then I promise we'll move on!!

Have a GREAT weekend, friends!

HUGS!

Thank U - Pink

Same card as posted HERE and HERE; just done in pink this time!

I pulled out the little chick delivering an envelope, Reverse Confetti Cuts THANKS, the U from Verve Visual's You and I set (looks like it may be discontinued - sorry), the thin stripe background stamp from Impression ObsessionTHIS and THIS die and some paper scraps - I have those galore - and set about making a few different color combos. Today I wanted to show you the blue one; next up will be the pink one - they are all identical; the green one just had a smaller piece of pattern paper for the front. ;)

Here's a group shot I shared on Instagram.

I had the toughest time finding a way to make the 'thank' part work - as you can see from the Confetti Cut, I only used a small portion of the die; I finally ended up cutting it from vellum and layered it (slightly offset) on to True Black (2 cards) and Smokey Shadow (1 card). The U was stamped with the thin striped stamp mentioned above. The chick was colored with Copics, I added a white highlight and glossy accents to the heart of each. Super fun, super simple.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank U - use ALL the companies

This post is all about using a zillion companies to make a card - HA!! Not really!

I had a co-worker ask about thank you cards and I had just recently received these adorable chicks from Stamping Bella and I saw THIS card and ideas started running amok!

Sunglasses needed - no really! Bright and bold Marching Chick

Greetings friends - how are you? I found some extra time to create this week; I just finished Sandy Allnock's #copicjumpstart class - she's so insanely talented. I tried to branch out and make my shadows/contrasts a bit more dramatic than normal. And then I messed up which direction my 'light' was coming from so I decided it was right in the middle - I shaded both directions! HA!

I didn't get a perfectly stamped image so I traced it - but truly need a finer tip marker. That's okay; I still love this image from Stampingbella! I used MOJO452 sketch for my layout (flipped) and used ALL. THE. BRIGHT. PAPERS. :D A wee bit blinding, yes?

I didn't want a plain white card base so I used a Mama Elephant scalloped die then embossed with large polka dots. The cute little sentiment, washi tape and enamel dots finish it off. As you can see, I made certain to add more fun, bright colors to the inside. Seriously, wouldn't this cheer ANYONE up?

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great day!

Hugs,

Hello

Look, another hello card - last time I thought I might have you singing Adele's song - like an ear worm??

I absolutely adore this color combo and although I'm not sure I've ever seen grey flowers, I really like them! I colored the image with Copics on Tim Holtz water color paper then cut it out with MFT Blueprints; I added a floral panel and a strip of grey/white designer paper cut with another die from the same MFT Blueprints. I couldn't decide about sequins so instead I opted for random glossy accent drops. Added some washi tape...THEN got all brave and stamped the HELLO after I added the glossy accents - boy did I get lucky I didn't hose the whole card!
Smiley from Millan.Net

I love the fonts in the WPlus9 Doodle Buds set, I stamped the "hope you have a beautiful day" on the inside.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great day!

Miss the tag team of Tammy / Michele?

Hi friends - Tammy and I took a little break from our challenges because sometimes life is just too insanely busy!! BUT...we are back this week with a super simple challenge - GIRLY. Can't get much easier right?

Be sure to check out what my dear friend Tammy - at Highland Homemade has made this week.

I used this adorable, and new to me image, from Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl Fiona Loves Flowers. I took a lot of time to color the image using both Copics and water color pencils ON water color paper. I had never used Copics on water color paper. :D I colored almost exactly like the sample on the website - HA HA; why not, that coloring is so awesome and it helped with the shading and details. I used a white water color pencil for some additional highlights in her hair. The outside is very simple; I added the quote which comes with the image to the inside and strips of black/white washi tape across the top and bottom of the inside pink panel - very striking.

sneak peek inside

That's it, thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT week. Don't forget to check out what my sweet friend, Tammy at Highland Homemade, created!!

Take care!

PS - if you'd like to share your GIRLY creations with us; we'd love to see them, just link up below!! AND let others know of this fun challenge, you KNOW the more the merrier!! :D

Awwwwww Shucks!

Three posts in a row...PUH-LEASE don't pass out - I never have that many in a row huh? :]

I'm tryin', I'm really tryin'! Actually it's worked out great this week to sneak in some extra stamping time each evening, it's been delightful!

Today I have a fun little girl from Stampingbella called Henrietta - she's a southern chick, can'tcha tell? Ah, she looks so shy and innocent - JUST LIKE ME!!! *gasp* - stop it, I heard that you know!

The inside says "awwwww shucks you shouldn't have". The challenge this week at the Bloggabella was all about BLING, look at that bling on her dress, in her hair? And can you see her sparkly dress? I colored over the black portion with a black spica glitter pen; so simple and adds such great sparkle.

The layout is Jen's (current - oh lordy, lordy, help me) Sketch For You To Try. I should get a prize just for being timely eh? HA!

I made the cute little flower from a nestie scalloped die and an old paperback book - LOVE flowers like this! I edged it with PTI's Chamomile Tea Dye ink and then touched the edges with PTI's Pure Poppy, so pretty IRL. I added a big red gem to the center of the flower, then added some Pure Poppy saddle stitch ribbon too, but changed the white stitching to tan using my Copics - SCORE!

Thanks for stopping by; I'm glad you did. Have a great Friday and fabulous weekend!! Hugs, ~M.

Stamping Bella Shower BUGG

Look at my cute little Shower BUGG from Stamping Bella; isn't she ADORABLE?? The Bellarific theme this week is paper piecing - ah....one of my favorites! Not only did I paper piece almost all of this cute little BUGG, but I added Crystal Effects so its all shiny... This next picture really shows the shine - that's my light reflecting off her umbrella - LOL! (sorry for the really rotten 1st picture - BLECH!!)

Aren't her umbrella and rain boots adorable - THEY MATCH! :D

Ah, so matchy-matchy - I seem to like matchy-matchy, not too good at matchy-mixy! LOL

I used some of my all-time favorite paper - Basic Grey's Bittersweet. Did a bit of coloring with Copics, used some glitter on my little BUGG's wings and used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for my layout. I added PTI's saddle stitch ribbon and then wrapped it 3 times with chocolate baker's twine - YUM-MO!!

Don't forget, you can click on any of the images to open in their own screen.

Hope you've had a fantabulous week! And thanks so much for visiting!! Hugs, ~M.

Thank You!

Happy Thanksgiving my friends & family - we have so many things to be thankful for. At the end of this post, I'll leave you with 2 of my very own special blessings so stay tuned!

Recently a friend asked me to make some "thank you" cards, she likes blues & greens in springy colors - mind you, we're definitely in the middle of fall, but it sure was fun to create in such pretty colors!

And no need to be shy - that flower has some serious glitter on it!!! LOL I love the sparkle IRL. Little "Daisybella" from stampingbella.com also has a sparkly flower on her shirt & in her hair.

These cards were such fun to make; the inside sentiments vary, but all are 'thank you' related.

All the pants & shirts are colored in various blues and greens to match the DP; the layout of the card comes from I {heart} To Stamp but for the life of me I cannot find the link to the sample layout - sorry!

See the ribbon on the outside of the card? I purchased it at Michael's over a year ago - can you believe how well the colors & flowers match the DP? Amazing! I tied on a button with twine to the ribbon - just love the way it looks. And last is a group shop - there are actually a total of 6 cards.

I hope you take a few moments on this special holiday to remember all the things you are thankful for; then take a moment and hug those around you - life is much too short, they may be gone tomorrow.

I'll leave you with a picture of 2 of my most favorite men in the world!!! They, along with one of our daughters, are hunting in Texas this Thanksgiving - I hope they have a BLAST!!!

Thanks for popping in; enjoy your "turkey legs" day! Hugs, ~M.
