More Mr. & Mrs!

Goodness, this makes 4 wedding cards in the last few weeks - I'm telling you, it's the summer of weddings! I cannot believe all the weddings...let's hope the weddings I know about in my 'neck of the woods' are not outside in this 100+ degree temps - it's H-O-T...my makeup would melt right off me (and I'd stink I'm afraid - not a laughing matter on your BIG day)!!

Anyway - this wedding is sky blue with accents of black, so we went the clean and simple route with lots of layers and few girly frills! I used Jen's SFYTT; I love that I had organza ribbon to overlay across the dress so you could still see it - I love this image, and have NO CLUE who makes it! It's on a wooden block, but no manufacturer information is included - I use it almost every single time I make a wedding card!

I added some light shading to the dress; the flowers around the waist are blue and then the dress is accented with some small pearls. The heart was punched twice; once in white, once in black. Both the dress and the swirl are embossed in black - love the raised 3D effect embossing creates. The heart is up on dimensionals as is the circle the dress is stamped on. More stamping and hearts on the inside carrying the color theme throughout.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS - my little red returns from New Jersey tonight; I leave in about 45 minutes to pick him up - YIPPEE SKIPPY!!!

PPS - thanks MOM for traveling with him; you so richly bless our lives!

Hugs,

Let's Get Together

This week over at Paper Cupcakes, we're focusing on invitations - I rarely make invitations; BUT we have a very dear friend that we like to take to dinner each holiday season and I just could not resist this amazing holiday Cupcake by Nina - seriously peeps, its beyond adorable, don't you think?

The inside is personalized, so I didn't take a photo (to protect the innocent..or not so innocent...I'm not sure - HA); but just a little coloring, layering - tried some sponging with distress inks but that just did not go well. :(

I'll have to try again in the near future! I printed 2 more cupcakes from Nina that I cannot wait to use - you'll be seeing those soon!

Thanks for popping in; hope you'll join the invitation fun this week - in fact, you have TWO FULL WEEKS to play along!

... it's Christmas in July ...

Happy Father's Day - 2012

So...this...yes this card has to be the quickest Father's Day card I have EVER made - I let the papers do all the talking - in fact, just one piece of DP - HA, can't beat that huh?

Be sure to join us over at Cupcake Inspirations; here's the cupcakes for this week:

And since my hubby NEVER wears a tie, I didn't have any images for that route; but he likes simple and no frills, so I think this will fit the bill!

Be sure to join the fun and to all the dad's out there; may your Father's Day be filled with special blessings. And to hubby's dad who is no longer with us - WE MISS YOU!! RIP JWG!!!

Have a great Sunday peeps!

Fun-tache-tic Birthday

Hi there friends!!

I'm back and this time I'm the Guest Designer over at Paper Cupcakes! Nina has this unbelievably cute mustache cupcake - seriously adorable eh?  :D

I had a blast coloring it up, the sentiment is computer generated and the layout is from My Favorite Things (MFTWSC75). After I took my pictures, I decided to add Glossy Accents to the cherry - love the dimension it adds!

Hope you'll check out the challenge blog and join the fun!

... I mustache you a question...but I'll shave it for later ...  :D

Mountain Dew Belly Man - Big Birthday

HA - he's not called that at all (referring to the title)! He's actually Beer Belly Man but since we don't drink and I'm using this for hubby's upcoming b-day (big 5-0*) card, no way was I going with beer. LOL BUT hubby does love Mountain Dew, so he's got nothing but yellow/green Mountain Dew in that mug!

Another super quick post as we are in another basketball tournament this weekend - 2 games yesterday and we're getting ready to leave for our 2nd game today; no telling how many more to go - we'll see. They played GREAT this morning, so hoping for many more wins this weekend!

I had this layout and these papers from MANY MANY months ago - one of those projects that went all wrong - but I salvaged these pieces and decided they would work perfectly for this image.

And like the lovely Julie, I flipped Beer Belly Man - another awesome trick you can do with digital images!! I added some glossy accents to the Mountain Dew; colored the image with Copics and that's it - pretty quick and easy since all the layers, distressing and sponging had been done long ago!

Thanks for stopping by; oh, and before I forget, crazy Queen Whiplash (don't ask, long story) is offering Beer Belly Man for £1.50.

*Yes, my hubby totally robbed the cradle since I'll only be 35 a few days before he turns 50!!??!!

... no beer in our beer mug ...  :D

Thinking of You

Another super short post - do you like when I chat less?  :)

Next up will be BEER BELLY GUY -  have you seen this brand new image? The Ladybugs introduced him Tuesday, I'm just late to the party. Check him out HERE - too funny! And while you're there, leave a sweet birthday message for Tams - I hear she turned 40 this week!  :D

I made this card for Verve's Mojo Monday Sketch #244 - you can see it HERE. Some brand new papers from Bo Bunny - LOVE, a bit of distressing, some white polka dots and gorgeous crinkly ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you're having a great week. See you again soon!

Baby, Baby

SUPER short post; our weekend has been absolutely insane. Friday was a vacation day for me but was filled with 7 different appointments, we returned home at 10:20 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday we left home each day at 7 a.m. for a basketball tournament, returned Saturday night at 10:20 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. I have to go back to work to rest!  :D

We have a co-worker who adopted a little baby boy so I made this card for their baby shower. The layout is MOJO243. I'll let the pictures do the rest! Thanks for stopping by; hope you had a great weekend!!

I decorated "both sides" on the inside so we would have enough room for everyone to sign the card. LOL
