Fusion Challenge - Bright Butterfly

Hi friends! I was so drawn to the colors in the inspiration photo at the Fusion Card Challenge (see below) that I had to play along. LOVE smooshing some distress ink colors onto Tim Holtz water color paper - Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. I used the elegant MFT Dienamics Rose with Overlay and cut the overlay piece from PTI's True Black card stock. The butterfly is from Heidi Swapp and was painted with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Paint and I finger painted on some black enamel accents. I added a layer of glossy accents to the butterfly, stamped the sentiment on a vellum flag and layered everything onto a piece of True Black card stock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Super simple, yet the colors really pop off the black. And look how elegant that flower is when you add a layer of Clear Wink of Stella - SWOON!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT week. Take care now, ya hear?

Hugs,

MOJO403

Hi friends - super quick post here. I started this card on Monday and FINALLY got to finish it tonight - Thursday. Life just gets in the way sometimes - HA!

The layout is MOJO403 (see below), love these flowers from Great Friend and fab sentiment from Treasured Words. Playing along with Kathy's #thedailymarker30day2 challenge to color a bit each day and although I rarely have time to play, I did enjoy coloring these flowers. I accented the black dots in the middle of each flower with a sharpie and then added white dots. Love the striking colors with black; embossed the background for a bit more dimension and interest.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT Friday!

Hugs,

C4E - Dads

Hi friends - welcome to the weekend!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we are celebrating DADS; we want to see any project or theme related to DADS. This week's prize is donated by The Stamping Boutique; one random winner will receive 2 free images!

I needed a Father's Day card for hubby from the kiddo's so I made a quick mixed media card. The Steel Grey panel was layered with the Hero Arts Arrow Pattern stencil; I mixed up some light modeling paste and black enamel accents for the perfect grey color; tone on tone. Some MFT card stock, blueprints, stamps from Verve Visual's Father Figure, wood accents colored with Copics and some Inktense Pencil scribbles on the frame finish it off (talk about the kid in me - HA)!

Hope you have a GREAT weekend and be sure to join in the fun, we can't wait to see your creations!

C4E - Black and White + DS204

Hi friends - HAPPY FRIDAY!! Who is ready for the weekend? ME, ME, ME!!

We're back this week at Crafts 4 Eternity with a super fun challenge - BLACK AND WHITE! One lucky winner will receive 4 free images from Sassy Studio Designs - you can see all their images HERE.

I went with no stamping and this is nothing that I was planning to do. :D Love how that happens sometimes! I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #204 (DS204) for the layout. Nothing fancy, die cuts, embossing and some ombre shading on the word 'hello'; it's soft and subtle with white fading into gray - super cool IRL.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have time to join the BLACK AND WHITE challenge!

Another MOJO400 + The Daily Marker Color Challenge 2

Hi there,

I  have a few more flowers I colored inspired by Kathy of The Daily Marker and decided to make a CAS card using the MOJO400 layout and allowing the fun background and flowers be the star of the show.

The background was created by sponging through Tim Holtz's Dot Fade Stencil with some yellow and pink but kept it to the center portion of the card; I added a layer of vellum and some Verve ribbon to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you've had a great weekend! Take care!

Hugs,

MOJO 400 + The Daily Marker Color Challenge 2

Hi friends!

Anyone else playing along with Kathy's 2nd color challenge - just take a few minutes every day to color with whatever medium tickles your fancy! Color just as time permits; we all have busy lives but it sure is fun sneaking in a bit of play time. Kathy provides incredible inspiration every single day for 30 full days.

Also, Monday was Verve's 400th - WHOA - sketch challenge; Julee always provides great sketches with lots of inspiration; I wanted to play along, hope you can join the fun too!

This is one of 3 flowers I colored for thedailymarkerchallenge30day2; I used some pinks and faded out to gray, almost white with a yellow center - super fun. The layout is MOJO400. I added some 'condensation' in the form of glossy accents to the flower; you have to look really close, but it's there! Some fun organza ribbon, stitching, Verve sequins and a Verve flag banner finish it off. Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great weekend!

C4E - Birthday

Hi friends - hope you are doing great this week!

We are back at Crafts 4 Eternity with another fun challenge - BIRTHDAY - any element or theme related to a birthday! Hope you'll take the time to join the fun!

I'm showing off a card I made several months ago for our oldest daughter's birthday - she truly is UNREPEATABLE! She just finished her first year of college and boy was it a smashing success!! :D Makes a momma and daddy H-A-P-P-Y!! The image is MFT's a la mode You are Unrepeatable; I colored the image with Copics and did lots of layering and stitching! I finished the iPod off with some glossy accents - adding a sentiment and the same image to the inside of the card.

H-E-L-L-O!!

Hi friends! Sometimes I just disappear, sorry about that!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we're focusing on Hidden Elements, a tag, an insert-whatever you come up with, we want to see. One lucky participant will win $12 in free images from Di's Digi Downloads.
di's digi downloads
Sorry, I tried to upload everything last night at our daughter's volleyball practice but the internet was S.O.  S.L.O.W.... But here we go!

Mine is a little gift bag; the bag, the stamp, the clothespin, the "loved" tag, and the heart on the back of the loved tag are all from Illustrated Faith. Isn't that neon pink polka dot bag just the cutest? You can insert all kinds of fun stuff within; I just stuck a die inside to make the bag stand up for pictures - HA!

I added a white doily, a black scalloped doily, some fun washi tape (to the tag AND bag), some gems to the back of the heart. Unclip it all, turn it around and there is the hidden element - the back of the tag to write your sweet little message.

Hope you will join the fun and play along; we'd love to see your Hidden Element. Have a great week!

Hugs,
