This card is for an older lady who recently had to relocate to an assisted living facility; she is quite spunky and loves red, so my friend wanted to send a card to let her know she was thinking of her. I did some water color ink smooshing (my favorite way to water color - HA); embossed some heart shaped sunglasses (The Ton Sunnies); I wish I would have 'colored' the lenses with a gray, but alas, I did not - but I did add glossy accents, and that looks cool.
I splattered on some black and white paint and once dry began assembly. I die cut the word HEY (The Stamp Market) 3 times and layered together; I added 2 layers of clear wink of stella and then situated the sunglasses within the word adding the white heat embossed hey gorgeous banner to the tail of the Y.
Once I put the card together, I wanted something to tie in the liquid platinum sunglasses, so I coated a piece of white card stock with VersaMark and embossed two coats of the liquid platinum; goodness, love that color! Hopefully she will get a kick out of the card and it will bring a smile to her face.
Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join us at the Mix It Up Challenge this month; we love seeing your creations!
Hugs,
