Colour Crazy Challenge - Lee Holland Art

Oh goodness, you are in for a TREAT this week at the Colour Crazy Challenge! Lee Holland has the most adorable artwork available on Etsy - check her shop out HERE!! Today I am using this sweet bunny.

I tend to always color flowers pink, so I ventured out and tried some purples - what do you think? I used grays on the bunny - I wanted her (see those eyelashes I added? 😍) to appear white, but I may have added too much gray, particularly to the ears?? I did want the tummy to be gray though!

Once I finished coloring wtih Copics, I cut the image using Reverse Confetti's Grid Stitch Tag (cut twice, adhered back to back). I fancied it up with some white lace, purple ribbon, some sheer white with black polka dot ribbon and some sparkling sequins. Added a banner sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will take time to join us with any project this week - as long as it includes coloring! See you again soon!

LTSCB - Love Is...

Welcome back to another super fun challenge for the Love to Scrap challenge blog, I think many folks are producing love themed cards this month, so it's a perfect time for you to join the fun!

I had so much fun creating with this new stamp and die set from Papertreyink, Branches of Love. Once again, I was inspired by Kelly's card HERE (scroll down, 2nd card shared). I stamped the branches in TE Earl Grey; die cut the branches and the 'hanging threads', then die cut lots of hearts using the matching die and TE Cupcake card stock. I love that the 4 hearts are all attached in the die package - I left them together and ran it through multiple times. I then used TE Lollipop and Watermelon to shade some of the hearts, added glue in areas and sprinkled on glitter. Goodness, I think they look amazing!

I cut  all 3 of the Skinny Hearts Frames, using the largest heart die as well as the plain white border between the 2nd and 3rd largest die. I used a blending brush to create an ombre look to the heart border, I also added two more plain Skinny Hearts frames behind to add some dimension. I used a piece Bitty Big Soft Stone paper and a piece of scrap ribbon for some contrast.

I die cut the vase from Bitty Big Sweet Blush, I stamped the 2nd layer using TE Cupcake in 2nd generation...but then I stamped it twice, so there was really no need for 2nd generation stamping. 😂

I added a partial doily behind the vase and adhered everything to a white card base - oh yes, I added some super soft pink polka dots using Delightful Hearts mini set too. And not that I recommend this, but once it was completely together, I stamped the sentiment. Living dangerously!!

I added more designer paper to the inside, along with a sweet little heart! Sorry - the photos are not the best, but our weather outside is rain, rain, and a bit more rain - so had to use the office!

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you will join us at Love to Scrap this month!

WHAT'S IT TAKE:

Accessories: glitter, Lawn Fawn liquid glue, doily, PTI Branches of Love die, misc. ribbon

MIUCB - Fancy Fold

Oh guuuurrrrl, let me tell you...I am not a fancy fold kinda girl when it comes to making cards, but you know - sometimes you have to venture out. This one got a little crazy (clearly did not think it through 😰, but hey, I made it work)!!

Hope you will venture out and join us this month at Mix It Up where we are exploring fnacy folds and goodness, our design team has some great stuff for you!

I came across THIS tutorial and decided to give it a whirl! Oh...a whirl I did. 😂 I think I'll let the pictures tell the story. The top portion with the cool folds is clear acetate (hence what reminded me about hiding adhesive - HA) and the back two panels were smooshed with ink and water so they were not pretty either AND there really wasn't a place to write a message - hence, my whirly whirly whirl!!

Enjoy the photos!

The full card with all the fancy folds. ;)

Yes, that's my nail peeking in to hold the card closed! 😂

The final card layer opened up

I was told the recipient likes palm trees, sunshine and anything water related so I went with my no fail stamp set & dies from WPlus9, Flock Yeah! All images colored with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you will join us at Mix It Up this month!
