There's some new girls in town!!

So...have you anxiously been awaiting this new release from Ladybug Crafts Ink? These girls are smokin' hot, I'm tellin' ya!

So, there are a total of 12 Skinny Malinkys; today we are releasing 6 and next week, we will be releasing the other 6! Please hop along and collect the letters from each blog, put them together to spell a special word(s), e-mail your answer to lcichallengeblog@aol.com and YOU could win all 12 images! WOW!!

For my card, I am using Ginger - isn't she adorable? Can't you see her dress done in fringe, or scallops, or sequins? Yeah, lots of variety available with this sweet girl. My layout is The Sweet Stop (SSS232); but I had to add a few ruffles to the card - cuz they are cute! AND since the images are called "Skinny Malinkys", I thought it would be fun to make a skinny card: 3.75" X 5.5".

Sparkle and ribbon treatment

Straight up coloring with Copics, nothing too fancy but I did add a bit of shimmer to Ginger's dress with a Wink of Stella clear pen. Thanks for joining us; hope you love all the new images as much as we do! Take care!

Don't forget to grab my letter...you can find it!!
Hugs,

Recycle - Crafts 4 Eternity

Another super fun "recipe" over at Crafts 4 Eternity - RECYCLE! The DT has some incredible products for you to see!

We are sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs - a $6 gift certificate for one lucky winner - won't you join the fun?

Me? I received this gift bag last year with a sticker on it, of course when I removed the sticker it tore off some of the paper. :( What's a girl to do? Why yes, dress it up and make it a seriously cute Christmas gift sack!!

I used an adorable Christmas cupcake from Paper Cupcakes - even better, they are calorie free! :D I fussy cut the cupcake, then used some older DP by My Mind's Eye, a border punch and some sewing to finish it off. The layout comes from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #227 (HERE).

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join along in our RECYCLE challenge!

Hugs,

CIC 190

Welcome bag to another week at Cupcake Inspirations! This week we are sponsored by DRS Designs - gah, LOVE their digi images!! I have one and hope to color it up this week; it's adorable!!! But for this challenge, I wanted to finish up a Christmas gift and complete some gift tags.  But first, our adorable inspiration photo:

I think those entire images are edible - look at the oreos for a hat - adorable! So...as you can see, I didn't use a snowman, instead I used SNOWFLAKES which we use to make a snowman...tricky eh? HA - not, but it finished my Christmas gift theme. :D

I'll give a brief explanation because I have TONS of pictures to share!! I made 4 tags using a super old ellison die; I rounded the bottom of each tag. I also cut 2 pieces per tag - one of Fresh Linen card stock; the other of designer paper (Carte Bella) Each piece of designer paper was stamped with a 2nd generation snowflakes from PTI's Snowflake Serenade. Then I used Spellbinders to cut some snowflakes, edged all the papers with various inks, tied on some buttons and twine and a strip of the opposite paper to each tag; stamped the back with Scarlet Jewel ink, "to:, from:, and more 2nd generation snowflakes". Glued the two pieces of each tag together and tied on some twine.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you enjoyed the tags and decorated glassine bag using the SSS188 layout. Stop over at Cupcake Inspirations and join the fun this week!!

TLT Challenge - Office Stationery

Welcome back to another challenge over at the Ladybug Challenge Blog - this week, we were challenged to use things you would find in the office...I have one little item. :D A paperclip; but it's just perfect for holding on this cute little sentiment flag!

I used "Winestool Nikki"; although I prefer to call her Bar Stool Nikki - LOL (Queenie hates when I do that!). tee hee

I love this image and she's perfect for wishing anyone a happy birthday! I used the layout from The Sweet Stop (SSS183) and colors from CR84FN (#66) - tan, cream and grey - pretty color combo; I pulled in a bit of pink from the DP also.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll visit the challenge blog and join in the fun!

Hugs,

Baby - Oh Baby

Oh baby....my stress level is off-the-charts right now; I was so hoping to work in a little crafting time tonight...always a good stress reliever for me!  :D

I had started this card this past weekend but didn't get a chance to finish it up until this evening - it was either momma gets inky or momma goes crazy...yeah, they ALL suggested I get inky - HA!

LOVE this image from Ladybug Crafts Ink, Baby Baby - absolutely the most adorable baby images! I colored the image with Copics then added white flock to the edge of the blanket - can you see it in the close-up picture? Soft and fuzzy!

Layout is The Sweet Stop (#180), perfect layout; I just turned the layout on its side, added some saddle stitch ribbon with a big ole button and chocolate baker's twine.

Thanks for stopping by; here's hoping the rest of your week is GREAT! Mine will be some long, long days - but trust me, I. WILL. ENJOY. THE. WEEKEND!!!

Message in a Bottle

Look at this GREAT inspiration photo we're playing with a Crafty Creations this week:

photo inspiration
Love...like a message in a bottle, or time in a bottle, or... so many captions for this one!

I used the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge this week; using the typewriter as one of my panels and the pink feather (ahhh....love) in place of the circle.

Inside
Everything was edged with Antique Linen distress ink; the paper for the typewriter was also edged with Frayed Burlap. The typewriter was stamped in Frayed Burlap onto Kraft card stock; the sheet of paper is PTI's Fine Linen.

Super fun image; hope you'll use it as your inspiration and join the fun. Be sure to check out what the other designers have created HERE!

Happy Autumn!

Autumn is officially here and Crafty Creations is celebrating with an autumn theme. Our sponsor this week is Digi Doodle! Digi Doodle is officially closing their doors September 30 BUT play along, you can still win a $10 gift card...and in the meantime, be sure to check out their digi stamps because they are having a huge going out of business sale!

OK, I chose this super cute little scarecrow image to use - love him lazing around for the day - doesn't everyone deserve a day like that! :D

The layout is The Sweet Stop Sketch #177 (SSS177). Love all those flags; I used some older MME paper from last year - but it doesn't matter; I will forever love MME paper. LOL (It's my secret addiction)!! The image was colored with Copics and colored pencils.

Thanks for stopping by; check out what the other designers have created, then jump in and join us!

CIC140 - Prarie Fairy

It's time for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge; we are sponsored this week by:

Super cute images; be sure to stop by and check them out; it'll be worth the journey!!

Our inspiration cupcakes for this week:

I LOVE the snowman in this picture - LOVE and I thought the 2 snowmen in "Snow Wonderful" from Verve Visual were so similar I decided to use one of them - if I had used the one with the Santa hat, it would have been even a closer match; but I wanted to use the little guy with the super cute hat. :D  GREAT stamp set!

As much as I loved the snowman, I loved the colors I used in my card yesterday; so yep - I went right back there again! HA!

I stamped the snowman onto the tag created with Verve's Tagged Rectangle Die; what you can't see is that I stamped the snowflakes from Snow Wonderful on the base of the tag with VersaMagic Wheat - love the touch it added IRL. The button at the top is a clear button, I tied on some twine, then backed it with the same striped paper from MME. The "U" is from Verve's I Heart U die set; the smaller tag was created with Papertreyink's Tiny Tags Die and I used just the words "for you" from Verve's Just for You stamp set, letting the large U work for the last piece.

The scalloped border is from Papertreyink and is edged with VersaMagic Wheat and I added some chocolate pearls. The pearls on the small "for you" tag were originally white, I used my Copics to color them burgundy.

The layout is this week's Sweet Stop #138 - FABULOUS layout with endless possibilities!

I think that's about it - thanks for stopping by; hope you'll join the Cupcake Inspiration this week!!

Hugs,

What's up chick?

It's the beginning of December and we had an amazing thunderstorm this morning - LOVED IT - lots of thunder, lots of lightening and LOTS of rain (um yes, I realize THOSE are the elements that make up a thunderstorm - no comments needed - HA HA) - we needed the rain, just seems odd in December.  :D  No snow yet; we'll see what the temps are when we head out in a bit.

The thunderstorm reminded me of Spring, so I made a Spring card - just skipping through the seasons here!  :D

This cute little chick tower and sentiment are from Hambo Stamps, love the "sketchiness" of the image - no hard lines - very soft and pretty IMHO. I used the layout from The Sweet Stop (#137). Cute layout to go right along with a cute image!

Papers are from My Mind's Eye and Papertreyink, I added some little sparkle gems to the sentiment and some scrunched polka dot blue sheen ribbon - LOVE! I also decorated the inside of the envelope to match some of the paper I used on the card, seriously, who wouldn't love all that matchy-match? LOL

Thanks for popping in today; hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Hugs,

We are sponsored this week by:
Thanks to them for sponsoring this challenge and providing the team with adorable images to work with!

Our inspiration cake for this week:

I chose this ADORABLE cow image to work with - not much on my card relates to squares so instead I used the color palette! And talk about "pucker up"; oh yeah, she's got a kiss just waiting for YOU!

The image was colored with Copics and the layout is last week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

The button and small gems are actually orange and a white gel pen was used to accent her luscious lips! :D

So go ahead, take some inspiration from that amazing cake and then join the fun at Cupcake Inspirations!
