Crafts 4 Eternity - Smile Please

Happy, happy Friday friends! We are back this week with one super fun recipe at Crafts 4 Eternity - SMILE PLEASE!

We want to see projects/creations with a camera/photo theme or element, or even a real photo is acceptable. One lucky participant will win 3 digital images from Crafty Sentiments Designs, so come on and join the fun!

I decided to use Karen's sketch #237 (SSSC237) and make a small card (3 3/4" x 5") and play with some MFT dies and the adorable Pure Innocence Cute-A-Tude. I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It paper and colored with Copics. I paper pieced the dress and her arms to give it more dimension. Very CAS card but I thought super cute.

I added a hashtag (do you love or hate hashtags? I have a co-worker that despises them, but I truly #lovethem) from Lawn Fawn #Awesome stamp set.

Thanks for popping by - fun theme this week, I hope you'll join the fun!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - show us your...STYLE!

Hello crafty friends - how are you?

We are back this week with a fantastic recipe - SHOW US YOUR STYLE! We want to see your signature style - vintage, clean and simple, shabby, etc. One lucky participant will win 4 free images from Sassy Studio Designs. And don't forget to stop by and see if you were a winner from last week AND check out all the amazing design team creations while you are there!

My favorite style is when I have plenty of time and can add lots of layers and embellishments to a card - doesn't happen often. :D I hear clean and simple (CAS) is all the rage right now but even my CAS style tends to have a few more layers than a TRUE CAS. HA HA!! Can't help myself.

This particular card is for a very, very dear friend who lost her mother unexpectedly - it still causes me to catch my breath and leaves my heart in the pit of my stomach. So sudden, totally unexpected and THAT is the life cycle. :( Still makes me uber sad.

Anyway, as you can see, tons of layers and matting. I incorporated the JUGS challenge (JUGS258) of water color with the large flower and used Verve Visual's MOJO layout (MOJO363). The image was colored with 2 distress markers and spritzed with water then stamped on to Strathmore water color paper. I then spritzed the entire circle with MFT's Sheer Shimmer Mist...but that wasn't quite enough sparkle so I covered each petal with clear Wink of Stella. Tough to see IRL; but its super shimmery!

I added a woodgrain heart, colored with Copics and a heavy layer of glossy accents. A vellum flag, some machine stitching, and pearls finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you take some time this week to show us YOUR STYLE! Have a great weekend!

2 Cute Ink - Fall

This week at 2 Cute Ink, we are celebrating with fall and we have had some beautiful fall weather here in Toto-land! What about you, fall weather or still super hot temps? Hope you will take the time to join the fun this week.

I am using Heidi's new Fall Celebrate Apple Basket, love this image and I went to town with LOADS of 3D dimension! The image was printed on Neenah 80 lb card stock 3 times. The flags were mounted with 2 layers and the apples were mounted with 3 layers, lots of glossy accents and clear Wink of Stella were added. The image was colored with Copics and the individual pieces cut out for layering.

The Kraft and newspaper-like DP were mounted with dimensional tape to spotlight the basket of apples.

Layout comes from MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge #193. (MFTWSC193) I colored a wood piece with Copics and tied on some hemp cord; hemp cord was also used for the flags of the basket. Each apple was accented with a white gel pen.

L@@K at all that dimension, sparkle and shine - SWOON!
Thanks for stopping by, we can't wait to see your fall creations. Have a great week.

TPE267 + SSSC235

Hi there!

I have an order for 88 cards and if you've followed my blog for long, you know I DO NOT like to make the same card twice. :D But I loved the inspiration from The Pink Elephant this week (see below); pink, yellow and black - scrumptious! AND a fabby sketch from Karen last week, SSSC235 (see below).

I made a set of 4 note cards using just those colors and the gorgeous LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers from MFT. They came together quickly - I pulled various MME designer paper and a small bit from Echo Park and went to work cutting, distressing, stamping, die cutting and then put them altogether. One pink and 3 black/smokey grey. Fun, quick and simple!

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you have a great week!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Fave Color Combo

Hi friends - welcome back to another recipe challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week, we want to see you create something - anything - with your favorite colors (must use at least two colors)! I, like many others, really like the 'pool' color - light blue/aqua color. Most the time I do something with chocolate (the color - LOL) thrown in, but this time, I used some red with a touch of that aqua color and made 3 super fast cards.

Just for playing along with us, one person will win 3 free digital images from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity! Did you know she has a store? Sure enough, check it out HERE!

The layout comes from CAS(E) this Sketch #90 (CTS#90) - fun! I actually used a BG Copic on the bottom portion of the "hello" for an ombre effect but next to impossible to see in the photos. :( I added a layer of clear Wink of Stella to the stamped flowers, great sparkle IRL!

Anywho, thanks for popping in - hope you have a GREAT weekend! Ours will be busy - cross country meet and volleyball tournament, start times are the same...in two different cities. :( I hate missing any event!

Ladybug Crafts Ink - SAY WHAT?

Hi friends!

Ladybug Crafts Ink is closing its doors - I know, I'm sad too! The design team and MANY past designers are joining together to showcase their favorite image - clear cling or digi. I have made 4 cards, all the same, just mixing up colors - they are totally CAS but I love them all.

LCI_Sale1.png
And with all going out of business news - there is a sale too; MEGA SALE which runs through the end of September so you have PLENTY of time to shop, but don't miss out, once September 30 is here, the doors will close forever. :(

I am using Make A Wish Nikki; like I said, 4 cards, all the same just switched up the colors. Each has a lot of wonkiness going on - love that! I'll share each one over the coming weeks.

2 Cute Ink - Anything Goes

Happy Monday my friends - and for some of us, IT'S A HOLIDAY; yippee, a glorious 3 day weekend!

This week at 2 Cute Ink, we're showing off anything goes and boy does the design team have some amazing projects for you! Check out all their amazing work HERE.

This week I'm playing with Ice Fishing Penguin - I love this image and totally used it for something besides a winter themed image. You know, "collecting birthday fishes (wishes) for you!"; fun play on words. You can see all Heidi's images HERE.

The image was printed on Neenah white card stock and colored with Copics; I used a white gel pen to highlight the water. The bucket and fish were printed twice, the 2nd one cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I added glossy accents to the fish for a more realistic finish - you know, slimy fish! HA! I added some clear wink of stella to the cute little penguin.

The rest is straightforward and simple. Thanks for popping in; hope you have a great week! Find some time to create and join along with our Anything Goes challenge - we can't wait to see what you create!
