Thank you for the recognition of this card...you made my day!

Have a great weekend friends!!

Hugs,

Tic Tac Toe at Crafts 4 Eternity

Hi friends - how's the week treating you? This week over at Crafts 4 Eternity, we are playing Tic Tac Toe - won't you join us?
And Digistamps 4 Joy is offering a $10 voucher to one lucky winner!

I went diagonal using ribbon, yellow and buttons and used an image from Whimsy and Stars Studio, Spring Garden Chick. I used this image once before HERE and a friend loved the card so much, she wanted one too. As we all know, I really dislike making the same card twice...plus I didn't have the same papers, so I improvised and came pretty close to the same! :D

inside of card

Lots of clear Wink of Stella for the butterflies and center of the flowers and some glossy accents for those flowers too! Added a little "hello" flag to the top of the image.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join our fun game of Tic Tac Toe.

Hugs,

No Killer Heels - just Shoes N' Bags

Hi friends - did you see all the amazing creations over at Ladybug Crafts Ink - all Killer Heels - all monochromatic. WOWZA!!

I made a fun monochromatic card too...but not with Killer Heels.
From Millan.Net
I love this super fun Shoes N' Bags image; so stylish and CA-UTE!! I went all black, grey, and white using MOJO347 (tall and skinny); my image is pretty big, so my card is 4" x 5.5"; I used some older MME designer paper and just had fun playing! I added a gorgeous black feather, black button, grey and white twine and used a white gel pen for some accents. Card stock colors are PTI's Smokey Shadow and True Black.

Thanks for stopping by; be sure to check out all the monochromatic creations at Ladybug Crafts Ink. Hope you can join the fun; we love seeing what you create!

HELLO?

Hi friends! Welcome back to another super fun recipe from Crafts 4 Eternity - Best of British! My original idea didn't work out, so I spun off that picture and ended up with the card below. But first...let's talk about prizes!! Talk about a great prize - one person can win a $12 voucher to Di's Digi Downloads!

OK, I love these bright red phone booths which pop up in every Google search I do - but here's where I specifically Googled for British phone booths - look at all of them, aren't they too cute?

This sweet Papertreyink image and matching die - Heart to Heart #4 - worked perfectly. I also used a simple sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #77. I cut several circles with nesties, punched a couple circles, then used some circles from the Verve Scalloped Trim Trio circle die which I attached at the top of the card. I used scraps to insert behind the circles, focusing on red, white and a lighter blue than what you typically see for British colors - but I think it works. The sentiment was stamped in MFT Black Licorice; the inside says "how are you?", added another circle trim to the inside.

Super cute phone cord huh? I colored some twine with Copics and wrapped it around a small paint brush, sprayed with water and heat set - so fast and easy!!

TFL; hope you'll join this super fun recipe and play along with us; we love seeing your crafty goodness!

REJOICE!

Look at this super cute teddy...reminding us to REJOICE - is he not the cutest bear? I love him!!! And you could add a bow and make it a girl in a snap!!

REJOICE is a new release at Whimsy and Stars Studio - pop over and take a look at all the amazing creations - HERE. Mabelle - owner of Whimsy and Stars Studio has amazing images, you can see all her images HERE.

AND just for checking out our creations and leaving a comment at Whimsy and Stars Studio, two random winners will win one digi design of their choice. Winners will be announced Monday, May 26 on the blog AND on Facebook.

I needed a graduation card and decided this little teddy was perfect for celebrating such a great accomplishment. And I went bold and bright with the colors. One of our universities is black and yellow so I accented those colors but added some fun ones too! The arrow is from Heidi Swapp and is naturally white, I colored it with a yellow Copic and added glossy accents. LOVE! A few colorful enamel accents finishes it off.

I also used Jennifer McGuire's trick of wrapping the word banner around the card and then cutting two fishtails and adhering - she uses this trick often (you can see it in THIS video, about the 10:50 mark).

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Crafts 4 Eternity - To Die For

Hi friends! Hope you are having a great week and looking forward to the weekend. Last weekend was Mother's Day and I was spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! What a great weekend - had to come home to get some rest!
From Millan.Net
I love our challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity - dies! I think I use dies on almost every single card I create! And this week we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs; one person can win 4 free images just for playing along.

I created a set of "hello" cards (4 in all) quite some time ago - no stamping whatsoever! LOVE! I diecut the word "hello" from MFT Stamps 6 times per card. I covered the top layer with a clear wink of stella pen, some glossy accents, then adhered the handmade accent in a bit of a curve onto these super fun papers from Doodlebug.

Hope you'll take a few moments to join the fun this week; super simple challenge. Can't wait to see your creations!!

And last, but not least, I'll leave you with a few pictures and snippets from Mother's Day weekend! Thanks for stopping by; take care!

Lucy's Cupcake

Hi friends!

I'm back with a sweet little image from Whimsy and Stars Studio - Lucy's Cupcake...she's cute huh? And I don't even LIKE mice...but Lucy's pretty darn cute!

I made a one pocket gift sack out of a kraft sack. I folded up the bottom 3/4's, adhered some paper and stitched around the sides. I then used MFT's Staggered Heart border across the top of the designer paper. I cut the border once, then cut the individual hearts twice and pieced it all together. It's cute, but hard to see under the main image.
From Millan.Net

I colored cute little Lucy with Copics using puffy stuff on her party hat and glossy accents on the candle flame. The image was cut from PTI's notebook paper die; then some more designer paper was cut from the same die and tilted. The ribbon I have had F-O-R-E-V-E-R and haven't used in about that long; love how the colors worked perfectly though! I then added two tags from PTI's Tiny Tags die and matching stamp set. The heart I colored with a Copic marker then stamped with PTI's Polka Dot Basics two different times to have good coverage of polka dots, tied on a button with some twine and that's it. Quick, simple and cute!

Getting Sketchy at Crafts 4 Eternity

Hi friends!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, Michele has given us a sketch to follow...yeah me, I did pretty good this time. AND Michele is offering one lucky participant 3 free digital images - you can see all her images HERE.
From Millan.Net

I have had this super cute penguin image from Bugaboo which I had printed and NEVER used...just sitting and waiting for some color! And I did it! I used some fun, funky papers from MME, some stitching, and fun Copic coloring for the image. I cut the image using a MFT stitched circle die, then layered it onto a scalloped nestie. I already had this heart flag cut (it cuts 4 heart flags at a time); I snipped one off and easily molded it to fit the circle!! *LOVE*

I also cut 3 hearts from the same banner and inserted them into the opening - just like a puzzle - and added clear Wink of Stella over the hearts. I also added clear Wink of Stella to the frosting - YUMMY!

Look at that shimmer - EEEKKKKK!!

I didn't add the sentiment as the designer paper is pretty busy as is, but I added a sentiment and wash tape to the inside.

Thanks for stopping by; check out the sketch and join the fun - we love seeing your creations!

Inside of Card
