Crafts 4 Eternity - Wood

Hi friends - welcome back for another fun and easy challenge from Crafts 4 Eternity...WOOD. We want to see any project featuring wood (embellishment, paper, theme (trees)), so break out those crafty supplies and join the fun!

One lucky participant will win 3 free images from Sassy Studio Designs.

I went with wood embellishments - the arrow and the heart. Both were colored with Copics, the heart was covered with Bo Bunny glitter paste for some extra sparkle - then I let the thread run wild!! :D

The main panel is smooshed with distress inks onto water color paper. The sentiment is from Lil Inkers, Paint Your Canvas. This quote has been our youngest daughter's favorite for YEARS! Had to buy the set for that sentiment alone; I hope to make her a note pad with that quote on every single sheet.

I used a couple pieces of cardstock to enhance the smooshed colors and embossed some backgrounds - MFT's Damask Designs and On the Diagonal. That's its, sweet and simple. Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll join the fun at Crafts 4 Eternity.

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Sepia Tones

Hi friends - we are back this week at Crafts 4 Eternity with a super fun challenge - sepia tones (use cream and brown colors).

And one lucky participant will win 4 free images from Sassy Studio Designs.

I wanted to play with lots of different things on this card. I started with a scrap piece of PTI Kraft card stock and began stamping various Verve Visual flowers (Kind Words and Because of You) in MFT Natural, Kraft and Hot Chocolate inks. I then added a text sentiment also from Verve Visual (Text Objects) in MFT Kraft along the bottom third but it wasn't showing up quite enough so I decided to stamp the same text sentiment in PTI Vintage Cream. I wiped off some of the ink in different places each time I stamped to add more dimension. The "thinking of you" sentiment was stamped in MFT Hot Chocolate with a shadow stamp in PTI's Vintage Cream. I also stamped the background with MFT's linen background.

I added the large flower I have had forever; sponged it lightly with Antique Linen and MFT Kraft and added some additional distress glitter. I then distressed all the edges of card stock and sponged on more MFT Kraft and Antique Linen. I added a pearl pin as well as some stand alone flat-back pearls.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you take the time to join us with your sepia tone creations! And be sure to check out all the amazing design team creations; I promise you WILL be inspired!

Hugs,

SSSC267 + Lawn Fawn Year Four

Hi friends - I haven't played along with the sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge in ages! I already had these Lawn Fawn images colored from Kathy's 30-day coloring challenge so I quickly die cut each piece and made a card with the current sketch (image below).

Simple card; lots of card scraps and these super sweet images. The pink polka dot layer is on PTI's Smokey Shadow card stock that was colored with a black Wink of Stella pen for some extra sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by; I'll be back Friday morning with a completely different style card, come on back to visit! Hope to see you again soon; have a great day!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Inspired by Nature

Happy Friday friends - or Saturday - depending when you see this! :D

How was your week? Mine was good; very busy, but good; really looking forward to the weekend.

I love the challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity - it's all about INSPIRED BY NATURE! One lucky participant will win 3 free digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity shop - Michele has some great images, check them out HERE!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago actually at the request of a friend; she needed a pick-me-up card for someone very dear to her. I thought bright colors and beautiful flowers would be perfect!

The background is PTI's Smoky Shadow, I layered on Memory Box's textured mini dots and slathered on some modeling paste colored black with black enamel accents - LOVE the dimension this created. The flowers are from Verve Visual's Great Friend set. Each flower was stamped onto Tim Holtz water color paper and colored with Inktense Pencils; I used a distress marker for the inside "pink" lines, just free handed. the largest flower is mounted with dimensionals and I cut a few leaves from PTI's Simply Chartreuse using MFT's Layered Leaves. I also added some shading to the leaves with a distress marker. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark on vellum and heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you are INSPIRED BY NATURE and join the fun! See you soon; have a great weekend!
