I love the Color Throwdown blog, the colors can be so inspiring and this week was a great example. I made a slimline card using a, new to me, stamp set from Reverse Confetti, Poppies. I chose several distress oxide inks as well as a few TE inks. I die cut 7 flower combos and then stamped in assembly line style mixing and matching inks. Once dry, I spritzed with water, then added white splatters and when those were dry. a couple coats of Nuvo shimmer.
I layered the flowers onto TE Sea Salt and blended some leftover broken china oxide ink. I splattered on TE Earl Grey ink (same color used for the outline of the flowers). This was layered onto a TE Cupcake panel, a white panel and finally the card base, also from Earl Grey. I added some Twisted Citron oxide ink to a few areas of the white panel. One flower in the lower right-hand corner is mounted with foam squares, the rest are adhered flat to the panel; the Sea Salt layer was mounted with foam tape. I finished it off with an embossed sentiment from the same set and some Bits and Pieces dew drops.
Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great weekend!
