Cupcake Inspirations #128

It's time for another amazing Cupcake Inspiration challenge!

This week we are sponsored by Amber Ink; I recently served as a GD for Amber Ink so you KNOW I love their images.  You can see some of my creations using their products HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

I needed a baby shower card and since I want to give them a gift card, I just added some DP to the inside and left it open to insert the gift card. I included a "blank" gift card to show you what it will look like once it has been added.

I am "in love" with this cupcake - that umbrella, those flowers, and those butterflies - swoon! I knew immediately I wanted to use PTI's Scattered Showers dies; I cut a total of 6 umbrellas from MME designer paper and then 3 more from PTI cardstock (Sweet Blush and Hibiscus Burst) to use as the "shadow" of the umbrellas.

Gift card inserted

Card and envie
I edged both the Kraft layer and the Hibiscus Burst base card with PTI's vintage cream; added some ivory lace, bubblegum twine, and a beautiful button tied off with some chocolate twine.  Can I just say I love how this card turned out? It was super easy to assemble once I finally figured out what I wanted to do! :D  Sometimes that figurin' it out b'ness can take longer than the card!!!

I added one umbrella to the inside of the card and the remaining two to the Kraft nvelope.  FUN!

Hope you will take some inspiration from that beautiful cupcake and join in the fun!
... wishing YOU showers of blessings ...

Hugs, ~M.

  1. Michelle, that umbrella is adorable, I love how you've picked all those fantastic papers for it and the triples across and front to back look great. I love this card, simple yet complex, you know what I mean.
