Repeat Impressions Blog Hop

IT'S FRIDAY - are you ready for the weekend?  I am, although I would like to request temps BELOW 102 degrees please!!!  :)

Wendy, owner and illustrator of Repeat Impressions, has released a new line of stamps - ALL perfect for summertime, and to celebrate we are having a blog hop!  You'll want to start off at The House That Stamps Built for all the details, but in case you get lost; here is a list of the participating Rock Stars:

Darsie
Dawn
Harriet
Joy
Karen
Lynette
Makiko
Michele - YOU ARE HERE!
Miriam
Robin

Each Rock Star is featuring a "word"; you must collect all the words throughout the hop and e-mail them to Wendy at wendy@repeatimpressions.com for a chance to win the grand prize - AN UNMOUNTED SHEET OF THE ***NEW*** SUMMER STAMPS!  Scrumptious I'm telling you, just scrumptious!  Oh yeah...put all the words in the "right" order to create a phrase, and you will be put in the drawing TWO TIMES for the chance to win!  Now that's an incredible prize from Wendy!

Enjoy the hop....but before you go, let's take a look at my project.  Remember THIS card?

Well, see those ice cream images...that's what I used to create this fun 3D item, for our youngest daughter - what says summer more than flip flops and ice cream, right?  Well, give me a beach too please.  LOL

I used the delightful "ice cream" image from the new stamps - it's actually 2 popsicles and 1 ice cream cone all as one large image (see image from card above)!  I stamped the image repeatedly on shrink plastic then proceeded to stamp some of the ice cream with smaller images or color them in completely with Copics and Sharpies.  I let them dry, then cut out each image, punched a hole and shrunk them.  Oh gosh, I do love shrinky dinks!

I then put together this little bracelet - it includes 3 store-bought charms; the initial to her first name, the green flip flops and a charm that says 'LOVE'; then in between all those I added the ice cream - Eeeeeekkkkk, how fun and cute is THAT?  AND I even got her to model for us!  Cute hand/arm; she's getting tan, can you tell?

So see, stamps aren't just for cards and scrapbooks - they make GREAT jewelry and can be used like this or with clay, endless possibilities and Wendy's images rock!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great weekend!  Enjoy the hop!

...summertime, sunshine, flip flops and Repeat Impressions ice cream...

Hugs, M.
