It's another installment of What If? Wednesday where Wendy offers up a great sketch and we all play along - you too! You can win a gift certificate to Repeat Impressions and you know, gift certificate equals FREE SHOPPING. Ahhhh...yeah baby!
Love the sketch this week; you can see it HERE and below is my take on the sketch. Another one of the fabulous Rock Stars also chose this same image; I thought it worked perfectly for the shape needed and I love the elegant image.
I used some really old DP by Stampin' Up, man I've had this DP f-o-r-e-v-e-r, but I put some of it to good use with this card.
I edged the square nestie with a gold leaf pen then colored the image with Copics highlighting with a light yellow to make the image pop. I used a couple more nesties for layering and then added some ric rac along the bottom of the card (Wendy's sketch shows it at the top - I just flipped it. The joys of a sketch; just a great jumping off point). I then added a PTI Pure Poppy button decorated with pearls; I also added pearls around the image per the sketch (they see to get a little lost with the busy background paper.
Won't you join us with your take on the sketch? Catch all the deets HERE and be sure to check out what all the other amazing Rock Stars have created:
Hope you have a great hump day! Hugs, ~M.
