Glue--less Gift Bag - Teacher Gift

This post will be full of pictures so my words will be short. Stop it - sit down and quit celebrating that I won't be rambling on...and on...and on!!  :D

I used this post from High Hopes to make my Glue-less Gift Bag. Super easy to make and works like a charm.

I made 6 small thank you cards (2 of each style) for the teacher (size 4.25" x 4.25") along with matching envelopes; the opposite side of the gift bag is filled with 2 candy bars.

Here are the pictures starting from the gift bag empty to each card (2 of each style) and then once it's filled - LOVE this idea!!

Thanks for stopping by - hope this gives you some inspiration for your teacher gifts!

Hugs, ~M.

CIC #174 - A Little Birdie

Welcome friends - hope you are having a GREAT weekend!!

Welcome back for another Cupcake Inspiration - here's our picture:

I think these cupcakes are just adorable!! I didn't have a specific image for this one, so instead I went with this cute little birdie with inspiration from the blue frosting - yummy (minus the fish - HA)!!

The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #165; I struggled a bit with the banner/flag strips - more so because I don't have a die for this shape; I have to use my square punch to cut the end of the flags...and you KNOW how challenged I am to do things straight/even. LOL

That's okay; love how it turned out. Papers are from My Mind's Eye - love how they match perfectly with the image! I printed a 2nd digi image and cut out the flowers and mounted with dimensionals - can you see how raised they are? Image was colored with Copics and colored pencils. Buttons are from PTI; two stacked together and tied off with some jute twine.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll join in our inspiration challenge this week! Have a great Sunday!!

Hugs, ~M.

Happy Anniversary MOJO254 Style

Earlier this week I had some time to craft...unfortunately my computer battery died just as I started on this card using the MOJO254 sketch so I was left to my memory. So hard to imagine my 25  year (*cough cough*) old brain not remembering ALL the details but alas it happened. :-D

I only missed one piece - not too bad eh? I really like how it turned out; I wanted it all floral-ly (new word, yep, sure 'nuf) and distressed - I think I accomplished that. The main yellow panel was stamped with a variety of stamps from Verve Visual's Love Notes using Pumice Stone. I then edged all the distressed panels with Pumice Stone and swiped it directly across the main panel. The flower, also from Verve (Great Friend) was stamped twice, cut out and layered. I finished it off with this vellum butterfly (I've had this pack of 4 vellum butterflies for over a year *** GASP***) - so glad to finally use one. The pearls are actually already a part of the butterfly, I added a few more down the side per the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT weekend!!

Anni-VERVE-sary Challenge

Tosh & Charmaine hosted a CAS (clean and simple) challenge for Day 4 of Verve's Anniversary Challenges - and tonight, I needed CAS for a last-minute card request.

Some kraft card stock, some pink card stock and a birthday cake - that's about all I needed to wrap this one up; completely clean and simple! I rounded some corners and called it good!

Thanks for popping in; I have tons of cards made - just need some time to sit down and share them with you! :D In the meantime, thanks for popping in!

On a personal note - our son started school today and the girls start tomorrow; the beginning of school always seems to add a bit extra stress to "life", alas we'll be back into the school routine soon and all will be fine.

Hope you and your loved ones are well!

Hugs,

TLT - Summer Fun!

It's a mid-month post for the Ladybugs and we're celebrating Summer Fun! Hasn't this summer been fantabulous with the Olympics? Oh for the first week I accomplished NOTHING around the house - I'd go to work, come home, change clothes, plop on the couch and catch up on the Olympics (just like the card says "kick back, relax and take it easy").

:D

BUT I did find some time to whip up a card; nothing says summer like flip flops at our house! And really, what girl doesn't love pink flip flops with a sparkly flower?

Super CAS card with a sweet little flag, the sentiment is finished on the inside. Thanks for stopping by; hope to see you again soon!

... what summer fun have YOU been up to? ...

Thank you

A super quick card requested by a friend for a male professor - I tried to keep it very simple, a little retro and a little grunge...

I used distress inks; these clear stamps are not "distinct" images, meaning they are not solid and complete. I love how it added to the grunge look!

I distressed all the edges, added the "thank you" panel and some red/white baker's twine and that's it friends!

Here's hoping you have a great week!

Jealous?

Yeah - admit it, you're jealous!! It's okay, I can take it - I'm a big girl!  :D

YOU, my dear friend, are jealous of MY BRA...oh wait, Stella's bra! Your jealous of the gorgeous coral and chocolate color eh? And the polka dots eh? And that sparkle eh? Oh yes, and you're jealous her boobs leave SUCH a shadow on her dress eh? Yeah, almost down to her waist I'm tellin' ya!!

But hey, a girl's gotta have a gorgeous bra, right? LMBO!!

This is Stella Peeker Braless digi image from Bugaboo stamps; isn't she adorable!?! Love!!

I used Deconstructed Sketch #64 and lots of DP from MME; some funky stitching and distressing to add to the "aged" look...Stella's looking a bit aged!! The sentiment comes with the stella image and says "If I went braless it would pull all the wrinkles out of my face!".

Of interest? The image and sentiment were printed on pure white Copic Xpress paper - I used my E30 Copic to give it a more "beige" look to match the other papers.

Super fun...and super funny (IMHO)! Thanks for popping in; hope you have a great weekend!!

... beautiful bras are better ...

Christmastime...

I'm ready to be done with the 100+ temps; therefore I'm creating Christmas cards!

This is a digi image from Ladybug Crafts Ink - by far, these are some of my most favorite Christmas images! Check them out HERE!! And if that's not enough; the crazy boss-lady, Kerry, is offering half price on ALL cling stamps - trust me, there are stamps you need to buy!  :D

I used the layout from Clean and Simple (202) as a starting point - I fudged a tiny bit, but not much! Great layout for a quick card!

The main panel is mounted on another layer of Scarlet Jewel which was cut by hand for a smaller border. I added lots of glossy accents to the berries - here's a couple close-up pictures so you can see the fun 3D effect!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great week!

CR84FN59...late

I made this card about a week ago right after I made a really intense card - you know, one that seemed to take F-O-R-E-V-E-R? :D

I used inspiration from CR84FN59 (tan, brown and coral) and went completely CAS (clean and simple) and girly all the way! Only stamping is on the inside!

I used PTI's scalloped die and cut out 5 strips (all at once) from a paperback book then edged with Berry Sorbet ink. I embossed the Kraft layer with small dots and lightly rubbed on some PTI ivory ink. Everything was layered onto Dark Chocolate and Berry Sorbet card stock; I repeated the same colors on the inside and then stamped "beautiful U" from Verve Visual's You and I.

So glad you stopped by; I truly appreciate each and every visit!

... beautiful U ...

Hugs, ~M.

Hello Sunshine...

Hi friends,

I have a confession...are you ready? I have an addiction... An addiction to the Olympics - OH MY LORDY...!!!...

I started this card yesterday but just could not draw myself away from the TV - so many events we love - gymnastics, swimming - CAN YOU SAY MICHAEL PHELPS - sand volleyball, volleyball, tennis, diving, synchronized diving - you name it, we love it!  :D

But I forced myself to do some chores this morning, slip downstairs to finish this card, get it posted and then...yeah, back to my addiction I'm afraid. LOL

I used Jen's August Sketch For You To Try for this week's Cupcake Inspiration. Here's the fab inspiration photo:

And this week we are sponsored by:

I used an image I've had for quite some time from Repeat Impressions - beautiful sunflower (did you notice the center of the sunflowers above? OREO cookies - delightful!).

I stamped the image on Rustic White card stock, colored with Copics and added some clear Sakura sparkle to the center of the Sunflower; lots of layering with black and Summer Sunrise, some machine stitching and some black brads.

That's it - thanks for popping in!

... you are my sunshine ...
