RI Sketch Challenge - Santa's Friend

Wendy has whipped up some FABULOUS sketch challenges and this one does not fail! I love sketches!  Hope you'll join us for your chance to win $25 by participating in the sketch challenge!  You can see all the deets at:  The House That Stamps Built!

I chose to use Santa's Friend again because I just love this image! I basically used the same colors as my "Mitten" card earlier this week - so soft and subtle.

The snowflakes were cut with nesties and PTI's Vintage Cream felt - I truly *heart* their felt, cuts just like buttah!

Be sure to check out the other Rock Star's and their creations:

Thanks for popping in; I really do appreciate your visit!! Hugs, ~M.

PS - my Santa has issues; if you can spot the "issues"; leave a note in the comments and I'll enter you in a drawing to win a surprise gift from me!!   :D

TLT - X-Mas Sparkle

Ah man, I feel like my card is a fail!! LOL You can't see the sparkle, but it's there, I promise!

I used Nikki & Buttercup Snow Angels - now seriously, is this image not just adorable? I added some tassels to Nikki's scarf cuz I wanted to! :D

I'm a rebel like that ya know...right Queen Whiplash?

I based the colors upon the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP. All Nikki's "fur" is covered with white flock - including her boots!

The snow was made with Fluffy Stuff & MS Clear Glitter which I let dry and then hit with my heat gun for the puffiness. See...THERE . IS . GLITTER!

HA!

Nikki & Buttercup look like they are having a blast playing in the snow!

Be sure to head over to the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog to check out this week's challenge - XMAS SPARKLE and join the fun; we're having a blast with these challenges and we want YOU to join us! And aren't those creations by the Ladybugs just amazing? I love seeing what everyone creates each week!

Thanks for hanging out with me; hope your day is GREAT! Hugs, ~M.

PS - totally non-stamping related; here's a picture of my son's finger. He wrapped this rubber band type thing around it and said "is it bad when my finger turns purple?". I tried to remain calm...this is what it looked like when he took the band off - DORK (age 10)! LOL

RI Stamp of the Week - Mitten

Oh, what a sweet Repeat Impressions image this is - MITTEN! I had a blast making this card; totally CAS, but I love it!

This is Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week (SOTW) which means YOU can purchase this same image for 50% off! You can see all the deets at The House That Stamps Built. This image is a single mitten, but you can see I used the reverse stamping technique to get a mitten facing each way!

:D

Happy bouncin' - oh yeah!

I stamped one black mitten and then a 2nd reverse image black mitten; then the two mittens were stamped on Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper; love the soft blue and green. I shaded the zig zag lines with a grey Copic, sponged each Nestie and added glitter to the cuff of the mittens. Used PTI's buttons, added two dry embossed lines and that's it. So CAS!

Be sure to check out all the other Rock Stars and their creations:
Thanks for stopping by; have a GREAT week! Hugs, ~M.

Check out the Card CASE challenge at The House That Stamps Built, Wendy has some great candy she's giving away. But I can't wait to join in on the next challenge and don't let my absenteeism set you back - just jump right in and play along!

You can see each of the cards submitted by clicking on their names (Darcie's is the card that was CASE'd):

TLT - RIBBON!

Okay friends, this week we are doing ribbon! Check out all the stunning creations at Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog (whew, is that a MOUTHFUL or what?) but promise to come back and see me, K? Breathtaking aren't they?

I never seem to start on my challenges in advance - LOL; so on our way home from our girly girl trip this weekend, I was planning in my head what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to let the ribbon be the background AND I thought Robyn and her balloons were the perfect opportunity for more ribbon! So, the base card is Kraft; then I added another layer of Kraft with dimensionals and used 4 colors of saddle stitch ribbon from Papertreyink. Yummy!

I stamped Robyn on GKD white and colored with Copics. I stamped a 2nd set of balloons which I cut out and adhered with dimensionals after adhering ribbon for each balloon - lots of dimension going on with this card. The perfect little girl's birthday card - and seriously, wouldn't YOUR cheeks be all pink from puffing to blow that candle out? LOL

Won't you play along with the Ladybugs and create your own card with ribbon? Be sure to check out the deets HERE!

Thanks for stopping by; don't forget to check back later this week when I post a few pictures from our girl's weekend away - ahhhh...blissful!

Hugs, ~M.

More Penguins!

I'm telling you, I *heart* these penguins from Repeat Impressions; these are part of Wendy's new Christmas 2010 release. Seriously, are they not just adorable? I stamped the bottom penguin, masked to stamp the 2nd penguin, masked again to stamp the 3rd penguin celebrating with his arms in the air - oh yeah, TOP of the heap!

Just a super quick post as I'm packing my camera away for the BIG weekend - I cannot wait. Unfortunately, I am still not well, so I'm off to sneak in an early bedtime (before 8 p.m.) - G-A-S-P, kinda leavin' daddy to manage the little ones!

:D

A few close up photos of my sweet friends, those divine buttons with chocolate twine and the inside of the notebook (really lousy photo on that last one).

Thanks for stopping in; I love when you visit! I hope to return with some fun photos from my girly girl getaway (with matching t-shirts that say "what happens with girlfriends STAYS with girlfriends")!!

Hugs, ~M.

WIW - Sketch Challenge

It's time for What If? Wednesday at The House That Stamps Built - won't you check out the sketch and play along? Wendy will give one lucky winner a $25 gift certificate to spend at Repeat Impressions and with all those glorious new Christmas stamps, who couldn't spend $25!

And I've chosen to work with one of the newest images - penguins, they are all sooooo cute! I used some new Fluffy Stuff gifted to me from the uber talented Kerry (love that Queen); I also added some MS clear glitter before heating the Fluffy Stuff - LOVE the sparkle!

Fabby sketch; I chose to use white enamel for the dots down the red panel, some really old DP from Stampin' Up and that's about it!

Be sure to check out what the other RI Rock Stars have created; I promise some amazing creations!

AND make sure you play along for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate!

I have a HUGE weekend planned and I am still sicker than a dog...might have to venture to the doctor because I cannot afford to be sick this weekend!

TLT - Join the Fun

Oh my, what fun we are going to have today!! It's our very first challenge at the new Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Blog and Kerry is releasing 5 NEW NIKKI images. Oh, I so *heart* Nikki!!!

Our challenge is a sketch with a twist; you'll want to start at the new blog HERE and hop along with us. All the rules are listed on the blog, so don't miss out, the prizes are GRAND as always! Hopefully you have arrived at my blog from the AMAZING Ms. Hayley - man, did she rock her Nikki image or what??? My image is the sweet Nikki & Carriage - how perfect is this image? Seriously!!

I just had to do a fall image since our leaves are beginning to turn here, the temps are cooling down a bit and what a perfect time to take a stroll with a wee little bundle! The trees were colored with 100's of various colored dots to achieve the great fall colors throughout.

The "twist" to our challenge was to decorate the inside of our card - I always decorate the inside, but usually not to this extent.

:D

I basically followed the same layout as the front, just left off one wee little stripe. Fun, fun!

Next up is the multi-talented Sue! We hope you'll play along as there is more than one way to win! Thanks for peeking in; I love when you visit!

Hugs, ~M.
