Beautiful Things

I recently won a gift certificate to Verve Visual - I ADORE Julee's images and have had my eye on this stamp set, Beautiful Things, for quite some time. Honestly, I won the certificate and spent it in under 15 minutes - HA! Even purchased the matching dies. :D It's soooo pretty with so many great sentiments; and those extra dies, (the word beautiful and two sizes of leaves), swoon! I also loved the Color Throwdown challenge this week (CTD405) so I wanted to play along using this new set.

I stamped the images on Ranger water color paper and used distress crayons for the base yellow layer - but you know me; it's never quite as intense as I'd like so I switched to Copics to finish the flowers. I traced the images with a sharpie for intense black lines and added some dots with a white gel pen.

The card was inspired by Kay, you can see her version HERE. I die cut the leaves from green checked paper for some extra fun; splattered on some twisted citron ink and stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts intense black.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT week!

Hugs,
