Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Hi friends - happy, happy Friday. Hope you have a relaxing weekend to look forward to! Ours will consist of an all-day track meet and lots of yard work!

I'm back this week with a challenge that everyone loves - ANYTHING GOES - over at Crafts 4 Eternity! One lucky participant will win a $12 voucher to Di's Digi Downloads and since it's ANYTHING GOES, everyone can play along. Hope you will join us!

I had a wee bit of crafting time this week and joined two  other challenges along with the Crafts 4 Eternity challenge - Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #265 (SSSC265) and Just Us Girls #289 (JUGS289). The image is from The Cat's Pajamas, Forget About the Cake - I colored it up during Kathy's 30 day color challenge and finally put it to use on a card using Kraft, Dark Chocolate, and a pop of yellow. I embossed the Dark Chocolate with a birthday embossing folder and stamped the Kraft card stock with MFT's On the Diagonal background stamp using MFT's natural ink. Simple Copic color; I did allow the bunny's ears to hang over the square die cut - fun - I often forget to do that. :D

That's it, thanks for popping by; I love when you stop by!

Hugs,

Miss the tag team of Tammy / Michele?

Hi friends - Tammy and I took a little break from our challenges because sometimes life is just too insanely busy!! BUT...we are back this week with a super simple challenge - GIRLY. Can't get much easier right?

Be sure to check out what my dear friend Tammy - at Highland Homemade has made this week.

I used this adorable, and new to me image, from Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl Fiona Loves Flowers. I took a lot of time to color the image using both Copics and water color pencils ON water color paper. I had never used Copics on water color paper. :D I colored almost exactly like the sample on the website - HA HA; why not, that coloring is so awesome and it helped with the shading and details. I used a white water color pencil for some additional highlights in her hair. The outside is very simple; I added the quote which comes with the image to the inside and strips of black/white washi tape across the top and bottom of the inside pink panel - very striking.

That's it, thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT week. Don't forget to check out what my sweet friend, Tammy at Highland Homemade, created!!

Take care!

PS - if you'd like to share your GIRLY creations with us; we'd love to see them, just link up below!! AND let others know of this fun challenge, you KNOW the more the merrier!! :D

Crafts 4 Eternity - Texture

Hi friends! Hope you are having a GREAT weekend; I'm a little late to the Crafts 4 Eternity party but hey, better late than never right?

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we're playing with TEXTURE! Use anything you want to add texture - modeling paste, material, embossing - wet or dry - you name it; one lucky participant will win 4 free images from Sassy Studio Designs.

I went with tinted modeling paste using distress inks going for a rainbow color! I used Memory Box's textured drip rings stencil; I adhered the stencil to my paper and smoothed on the tinted modeling paste; I placed it aside to dry and worked on the individual letters. I used a white tag, scribbled on ink tense pencils in rainbow order and smoothed it all out with water.

I then cut the HELLO using MFT hello dies - 5 times from black card stock and 1 time from the tag I had previously colored. But the letters were super pastel, so I added MORE color from the Inktense pencils and  spread the color with a clear Wink of Stella pen. LOTS of shimmer and a much brighter rainbow, I coated each letter with a heavy layer of glossy accents.

Simple yet super fun and sparkly - perfect for a little pick me up!

Thanks for popping in; have a great week!

Hugs,

Hello Baby, Baby

Yeah, YOU just thought I was calling you my baby...yes? LOL

Sorry, I vanished but I have been working in my studio several nights per week - just nothing to show YOU yet. Sorry...but come back soon, I will be back to a more regular schedule very, very soon.

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we want to see your projects related to BABY - featuring a baby image, baby animals, you name it - get creative and let us see what you make! One lucky participant will win 3 free digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity, Michele has some great things, you can see them HERE.

I have a box of store bought cards that are actually "thank you" cards - right there in the middle amongst all those polka dots! You'd never know right? I bought the box and made some monogrammed note cards as a gift quite some time ago and I KNEW the colors would be perfect for a little baby card. The sentiment and baby carriage image are from Verve Visual's Treasured Words set, the die cut is also from Verve, Scalloped Rectangle. I cut the die twice, once from PTI's Dark Chocolate and once from PTI's Spring Rain. I wanted to add a bunch of things to the card, just for fun (stars, thread, embossing paste)! :D

I used light modeling paste colored with espresso dimensional pearls, looks like scrumptious frosting! The stars are from one of MFT's blueprints set and I tossed on some thread behind the focal point. The checkered piece you see below the card is the envelopes that come with the set of cards. Nice way to alter a store bought set of cards.

Thanks for popping in; I hope you have a GREAT weekend and a blessed Easter. Our youngest daughter and I will be gone all weekend long at a National Qualifier tournament, sadly one of our players is out for the season and another is injured...not sure what the weekend will hold, but we're determined to have fun! Hope you have some fun too!

Hugs,
