Not sure I'm really "back" yet; BUT

I did need to finish this little project!

I was so inspired by Laurie's creation HERE, and wanted to make something extremely similar for our young man's teacher - she's really a great teacher!

She loves K-State, so it's purple all the way for her - too bad for the kids in her class that are not K-State fans - LOL!

A super quick post-it note holder and gift sack filled with 3 colorful pencils. I figure she can hand the pencils out in class as a reward to students and save the post-it notepad for herself!

The images are from Our Craft Lounge, the dies are all from Shop Verve. Totally CAS; hope she likes it!

Take care; I'm hoping I begin to ease my way back into my craft room very soon! I'm still on breathing treatments and have about 4-5 more days of antibiotics, then I really hope I've beaten this junk and we can move on to Spring and a much healthier household.

Another thing that makes it so difficult to recover is when your week looks like this:

Monday:
Doctor's appointment after school for youngest daughter.
Pick up oldest daughter from soccer practice after work.

Tuesday:
Oldest daughter has 2 soccer games beginning at 5 p.m.
Youngest daughter has volleyball practice and a clinic.

Wednesday:
BIG day at work - major project due.
Staff meeting at lunch.
Appointment for our oldest daughter at 7 p.m. - that means drive home, pick her up and drive back to the City

Thursday:
Another BIG project due at work and a luncheon meeting off-site.
Oldest daughter has 2 soccer games beginning at 5 p.m.

Friday:
Leave for volleyball regionals in Kansas City; return Sunday afternoon/evening.

Hmmm...is it any wonder I'm run down? LOL I wouldn't tradeour life for anything, but when you're trying to get well, all the running sure makes it tough.

Nuttin' Crafty...

cuz I am STILL sicker than a dog.

I called the doctor today - I'm 7 1/2 days into my antibiotic and breathing treatments, but again, I'm still very, very sick. They are calling in a new antibiotic and steroids for me - I'm so praying I get better soon - we're scheduled to leave on a jet plane Wednesday evening, the LAST thing I want is to be sick! :(

Some of my super-dee-duper lovebugs (a/k/a Ladybugs) sent me a surprise today - talk about knowing how to brighten up a girl's world! I love these girls so much; they are just so very special to me!

Next up - dead animals - I warned you!  :D

My sweet hubby and adorable son are hunting in Texas right now - Jared shot a turkey Saturday and Sunday (yes, it's legal, he can shoot up to 4); here they are:

The first one was big bodied - about 21-22 lbs. but it's beard was only about 7" long.

This one had a smaller body - about 20 lbs., but it's beard was much longer - 11" long!  W@@T, W@@T - the kid is having a ball! They are now off to a new ranch to hunt Nilgai.

Hubby calls this turkey 1 and turkey 2 (turkey 2 being our son) - HA!

I hope to return next week with something crafty and a much healthier me!!

Krafty Chick * 2

WOW-THIS made my day!!! Clara (the chicken) and me are getting to be pretty good buddies!!  :D

It has been such a rough week and now Kaity-bug is sick; fever, congestion, all that good stuff. I just pray we are all well for our vacation next week!

Ladybug Crafts Ink - NEW RELEASE

Oh, let the fun begin! Lots of previews every single day on the TLT challenge blog - hope you'll check it out and join fun - daily prizes, W@@T, W@@T!!

A bit on the personal side (which I try to keep to a minimum - unless it's really fun stuff related to the kids - HA): you might (or might not) remember I got sick January 20 and finally went to see the doctor on February 20 (I no longer work close to my doctor's office and it's literally a 1/2 day event to get there and back) but I was on vacation February 20 so I made sure to go. I was treated for bronchitis and a sinus infection receiving a shot, a steroid inhaler and an antibiotic. Took awhile, but I did get better.

Fast forward a week after I finished the antibiotics and 2 co-workers got sick with coughs/colds - whatever. I have reactive airway disease so the least little exposure to their germs sent my bronchial airways into a massive tailspin. I spent the ENTIRE weekend in bed; literally not able to do a thing! Went back to the doctor today... pneumonia!  :(

I'm now on breathing treatments every 4 hours, a new/stronger antibiotic, the steroid inhaler...and I think that's it. The doctor said I was gasping for air when she entered the exam room today - I knew I was bad.

BUT I'm happy to report, I've had 2 breathing treatments, 2 doses of antibiotics and I "think" I might be turning the corner - sure hope so; I have't even ENTERED my craft room in 2 weeks.

Crafting is good for my soul and makes me happy - here's to hoping I'm truly on the mend! And if you're a praying person, or in to sending positive thoughts; I REALLY need them.
