Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

And…he’s married! 💍✨

Welcome back to another post for Love to Scrap! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect—our son tied the knot at sunrise on 08.17.25.

Yes, you read that right…SUNRISE, 6:30 a.m.! Which meant my wake-up call was 3:15 a.m. so I could meet my stylist at 4:00 for hair (and a little makeup help). Totally worth it though—the photos are going to be LEGIT! 📸

This is the card I made for their wedding (their colors were pink and orange). I tried out one of Jennifer McGuire’s techniques—definitely not as flawless as hers, but for a first attempt, I’ll take it. 😉

Now, confession time: as I type this, I’m dog sitting, and for the life of me I cannot remember which flower stamps and dies I used. 🙈 I’ll check when I’m back home in early September and update. Promise!

On the inside, I added a LOVE die from Pretty Pink Posh. I didn’t snap a picture because I had to “make it work” after a little card mishap—but that’s crafting for you, right?

Thank you so much for stopping by! I’ll leave you with a couple of my favorite wedding photos. (Yes, the first time his groomsmen tossed him in the air, I screamed. By the second time, I was just trying to get my phone to record video! His wife wisely put a stop to it after his hand grazed the lights. 😂)

Come join us over at  Love to Scrap—we’d love to see what you’re creating!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog

Hello, friends! I hope you are well!

Thanks for joining us on the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog!

This is the card I made our youngest daughter for her birthday. Both my girls like coffee, and this daughter likes PINK, so there is LOTS of pink on this one. 😉 I have really enjoyed seeking color inspiration from Pinterest, and this is no exception. When you see the inspiration, you'll understand the blue in the background. 😃 I used new cardstock from Concord and 9th, my first time using their cardstock and I really like it! Lots of pink options that all go together well, I appreciate that!

I die cut all the pieces and more from the Cup of Kindness set. I made a card similar to this, HERE, and used the same background (Spellbinder's Candy Stipes die, not sure it's available any longer, sorry), I loved it so much!

I die cut the lid components and wrapper from white and added some shading. I also added shading to the flowers and leaves and have tons left over for another card in the future. The other cup has a heart swirl stencil in white, then shifted slightly and blended in a bright pink.

The heart on the 'floral' cup was embossed with Spellbinder's Tufted 3D embossing folder. Then I lightly swiped white ink over the top before adding glossy accents.

A bit of blue in the background to go along with the color inspiration photo, finished it off with some silver half back pearls. They really added the perfect touch!

Trying to capture the dimension - hopefully you can see it!

Can't wait to see what you create for Love to Scrap; we enjoy seeing your creations!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog

WELCOME BACK to another fun challenge at Love to Scrap; this is one where anything goes and we love to see what YOU create!

I'm sharing the birthday card I made for our son, the photos aren't the greatest and I apologize!!

He loves orange, it has been his favorite almost his entire life; there was a brief time as a little guy, when he liked green, but that ran it's course and it was back to orange. 😉

I love this pickup from Honey Bee Stamps; this was my first time coloring it - I can't wait to do it in red! I added packages to the tailgate and a HB2U license plate and then lots of rust. Does it read as rust?

There are several great images online of people that have colored the truck, hence where the rust idea came along. I finished it off with glossy accents on the mirrors and tail lights. I also made it into a shaped card with the base of the card being orange.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project, we can't wait to see what you create!

Hope you will pop over and join us at the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - we love seeing what you create!

LTSCB - Anything Goes (January-February)

Hey, hey - WELCOME TO 2025!! We are so excited to see you at Love to Scrap - join us as it is always ANYTHING GOES!

If you have seen my other post, you know I created two cards - basically the same, just different color schemes. I love all the details - so many details. Lots of shading, white gel pen and dimension. I used a stencil in the background - pink & yellow; I also stamped parts of the Ledger Script in gray ink along with the keys to the keyboard.

The scallop is a long-time favorite from Simon Says Stamp, Scallop Stitches, there are 3 different sizes of scallops, perfect for many projects. The envelopes and bauble set and typewriter are from The Greetery (they are having a year-end sale right now, too)! All inks are Simon Says Pawsitively Saturated inks - man I love those!!

Let me know which color you like best - pink or aqua!

Thanks for popping in, wishing you and yours a wonderful 2025!

Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

Hey -  great to see you, I'm glad you popped in!

At Love to Scrap, we're always about 'Anything Goes'; that means you never know what I'm going to share! 😁

And this month I'm sharing a 'hey, boo' card; I actually made 2 identical cards to send to a couple dear girlfriends! I love all the products from CZ Design over at Simon Says Stamp (Big Bat and Witch). This card uses the products from the Big Bat wafer die. I love these papers from Doodlebug Designs, so many cute designs!

I cut the die from vellum and did some stitching around the card, along with some ink blending of black soot Distress Ink.

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Hey, hey - great to see you, I'm glad you popped in!

At Love to Scrap, we're always about 'Anything Goes'; that means you never know what I'm going to share! 😁

This time, I'm sharing my mom's Mother's Day card - talk about mixed media and ALL THE BULK, but I think it's pretty - pretty in pink!

The main panel is die cut with this Pinkfresh braided die; I added pink to opposite corners. I added a postage die cut from The Greetery of both Raspberry Fizz pattern paper and polka dot vellum - btw, anyone know where I can find more of the polka dot vellum? Hit me up, if you know!!

I stamped, embossed and die cut the envelope and Pretty Postmarks from The Greetery, the flowers from Pinkfresh were stamped, embossed, and stenciled.

I finished the card off with a small heart, mom stamped tag, and then lots of various pink seam binding from my favorite supplier, My Scrap Cabin. Oh yes, and some beautiful pink sequins!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - July 2024

Hi there, friends. I hope you are doing great and gearing up for the holiday ahead (for those in the US)!

It's time for another challenge at Love to Scrap; won't you join us, our theme is always ANYTHING GOES!

I made this card at a stampaway a few months ago and I love it! I probably love it most because, as you can see, the outside says "Let's Celebrate" and the inside says "your existence" and I think that's perfect for anyone's birthday!

I stamped the candles repeatedly and had fun coloring them. I added glitter to the flames, blended some purple around the edges, added some star stamping, second generation, stamped my sentiments and I was good to go! Of course, I needed to add some bling! 💗I do believe this stamp set was either limited edition or is retired, sorry about that - but I try to keep stamp sets I really love and know I will use repeatedly and this one has great images!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join us at Love to Scrap!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - May 2024

Hey friends, thanks for stopping by!

This round at Love to Scrap, I used this insanely fun Cup of Kindness stamp and die set from Concord and 9th! I die cut 2 of the large cups, 'wrappers', and lids for the cups. Before putting the cups together, I used a couple stencils to accent the base of the cups. For the pink cup I used the sketched lines from the PTI A Little Sketchy set; for the aqua cup, I used SSS XL Rose Bouquet (all inks from Taylored Expressions).

The background is a, new to me, die set, Spellbinders Candy Stripes, in which I die cut two pieces and flipped one over to create the criss-cross pattern. I lightly blended some blue on the background before adhering everything together.

I love how this turned out, the colors are so happy and if you're a coffee lover like me, it speaks to your heart!  😂

Stop by Love to Scrap and grab some inspiration, then join us. We love seeing your creations!!

Happy 2024 - Love To Scrap Challenge Blog

And we are off to the races of 2024, which will close out in the absolute blink of an eye! Are you ready?

For Love to Scrap this round, I'm sharing a couple quick Halloween cards I made; all the pieces/parts were left over from previous projects, I kept everything clean and simple, taking inspiration from Spellbinders Truckin Through the Seasons samples. Lots of die cutting, shading, and zero coloring! I stamped and embossed the sentiment, added some white gel pen, and voila, they were ready.

Hope you will join us at the Love to Scrap challenge blog, we love seeing things you take time to create!

Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

Hi there, I hope this post finds you doing well! Won't you join us this month at Love to Scrap, it's Anything Goes - always fun and easy for everyone!

Have you tried the washi tapes from Pinkfresh Studios? They have lots of varieties, but this one is by far my favorite for creating quick birthday cards; there are matching dies and a stamp set. I combined it with the birthday cake stencil from Pretty Pink Posh creating a slimline card. I mounted the stitched panel on a scalloped edge with paper from Papertreyink. I finished it off with my absolute favorite sequins, Friendship Mix

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have time to join us - we would love to see your creations!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

 Hiya! Thanks for visiting!

It's another challenge at Love to Scrap, Anything Goes, we love seeing your creations, please consider joining us!!

If you saw THIS post, well, here with are with a pink version of the same card using all the same things! 😁

Products are from Papertrey Ink and also inspired by Nichol Spohr - you can see her cards HERE. I love this paper pad from Simple Stories and used it on multiple cards - love when I use it and don't hoard it! 😄

I splattered on some Tim Holtz Wax Foundry in Statue, heated it up - man, I love this stuff! I added some twine tied off in a bow and a teeny tiny 'love you' flag on the last M in mom. The scallops were cut with this die - makes a nice finished faux stitching edge and the plaid pink piece in the background is an envelope from Honey Bee Stamps; such a fun combo!

I hope you join us this month, we would love to see your creations!

Love to Scrap - May (Anything Goes)

 Hi friends!

Before we even begin, lets take a look at that GORGEOUS new banner over on the Love to Scrap blog; did you see it? 😍 The amazing Donna created it and I think it's gorgeous!!

OK, back to business! 😀  As always, our challenge is ANYTHING GOES, won't you join us and share your creation?

I'm still sharing lots of Christmas cards; these two took some time with the die cutting, sponging, coloring of the birds and creating the backgrounds, but so worth it.

I LOVE this little mini bird from Papertreyink. I've watched so many of Dawn Woleslagel's YouTube videos which always inspires me to try different things with watercolor. And the pine cones and branches from The Greetery have been a favorite for several years; frames are from The Greetery too.

LOTS and lots of glossy accents and rock candy to make it all shiny and sparkly, along with some pretty sequins! I used a white gel pen for the bird's eye. Adhered all the die cuts together, found a layout I liked and glued everything to the card base. The center panel on each card is mounted with fun foam to give it a tiny bit of dimension.

I hope you join us this month, we would love to see your creations!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - March

Hi friends,

How are you? I have done lots of creating, but I'm not doing so well grabbing photos. 😐

I'm glad you are back for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Did you see THIS pine tree Christmas card I made? The trees are from the Quad Stencil from Taylored Expessions, Peaceful Pines. It's so easy to use different colors on the stencil. For this particular stencil, I was trying some new inks; but then decided I wanted to get creative and use some fun, bright inks - hence the other card.

For the polka dots, I added Deco Foil Duo through the stencil, then used foil and ran it through my mini minc machine. I added glossy accents to the polka dots and star on the tree; a couple snow banksfinish off the main image. Mounted on gold cardstock and a base of Sweet Basil cardstock.

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Hey there - thanks for stopping by today; I hope you are well!

As always, it's Anything Goes at Love to Scrap; hope you will join us!

I made two of these cards at the same time; you can see the other one here.  For 3 of the stencil layers, I used the same color ink, starting light and blending darker for each layer. For the last stencil, I sponged on Versamark and sprinkled on THIS embossing powder, which I freaking love.

I added a small poinsettia with the edges sponged, added some stickles and rock candy glitter to the poinsettia and letters. I LOVE this big JOY.

The sub-sentiment is from The Greetery also embossed with the same Ranger embossing powder; all inks are from Taylored Expressions. I added some sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for popping in; hope to see you again soon, and don't forget to join the fun at Love to Scrap!
