Valentine's Day - mega delay

Hello, HELLO!

Long, long ago, in a faraway land... 😁

Let me tell you, 2025 has not been my year; for anyone that knows me, respiratory infections and I have a deep-seated dislike for one another and 2025 has gifted me with two! I was sick all of January (yes, respiratory infections last about a month for me, even with breathing treatments, inhaler, steroids, etc. 😐), then February 13, I took a tumble at work and ended up with a severe concussion - that's a whole other story!! Three days before I was released from concussion protocol, I got another respiratory infection, so I was sick most of March. Just past that, I got violently ill one early morning, the kind where things happen from every end, all at once. Yeah, THAT was TMI, but boy, was I sick. It took a full week before smells did not bother me, and just over 48 hours before I could begin eating normal again. Seriously, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!! Someone did ask me if I thought it was norovirus, I have absolutely no idea, but I wouldn't wish that on my greatest enemy!!

So...I'm very delayed in posting anything Valentine's related and I do have several things to post! First up, separate from these cute little mini cards, I made A2 size cards (post coming later) for several of my girlfriends and gave them little gifts. I wanted their A2 cards to be part of the gift, so I decided I would make some quick little cards to write on. These are the ones I made and I decided they were too cute, I couldn't write on them either. lol, I mean, SERIOULSLY!!

I used Pinkfresh's Rounded & Braided Rectangle die and cut a colored piece of card stock as well as some leftover designer paper I had on hand. I then used the Simon's Swirl Piercing Plate on the designer paper - you'll probably have to zoom in to see it, but it's there and adds such great detail!

I die cut multiple mini Interactive Envelopes and hearts from various card stock colors. I also die cut the little piece of paper 6 times. I used the Memory Box Distress Stamp (no longer available) to add faint notebook lines to the inserts. I then stamped sentiments from The Greetery's Just My Type in various inks. I finished the mini cards off with some clay hearts.

And cutest gnome ever? DEFINITELY. Purchased from Leanne from gnomes_and_rainbows_co

Thanks for popping in; I hope you are well!!

Happy Holidays 2024 - Green Candy Cane?

Hi friends!!

Hands down, I believe my most favorite holiday set is a die cut set from Honey Bee Stamps - Lovely Layers: Candy Cane.

I have used this set on so many cards, I love adding 'snow' and 'glitter'; love the different ways you can do the candy canes. I really love cutting the pieces from colored cardstock and adding shading - FUN!!

This card also uses a die cut from Pinkfresh, Rounded and Braided Rectangle, the pattern paper has been in my stash for...um...we'll leave that right there. lol

The greeting is from Waffle Flower - quick and easy!! Most of the cardstock comes from Taylored Expressions

Thanks for popping in, wishing you and yours the happiest holiday season!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Hey, hey - great to see you, I'm glad you popped in!

At Love to Scrap, we're always about 'Anything Goes'; that means you never know what I'm going to share! 😁

This time, I'm sharing my mom's Mother's Day card - talk about mixed media and ALL THE BULK, but I think it's pretty - pretty in pink!

The main panel is die cut with this Pinkfresh braided die; I added pink to opposite corners. I added a postage die cut from The Greetery of both Raspberry Fizz pattern paper and polka dot vellum - btw, anyone know where I can find more of the polka dot vellum? Hit me up, if you know!!

I stamped, embossed and die cut the envelope and Pretty Postmarks from The Greetery, the flowers from Pinkfresh were stamped, embossed, and stenciled.

I finished the card off with a small heart, mom stamped tag, and then lots of various pink seam binding from my favorite supplier, My Scrap Cabin. Oh yes, and some beautiful pink sequins!

Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

Hi there, I hope this post finds you doing well! Won't you join us this month at Love to Scrap, it's Anything Goes - always fun and easy for everyone!

Have you tried the washi tapes from Pinkfresh Studios? They have lots of varieties, but this one is by far my favorite for creating quick birthday cards; there are matching dies and a stamp set. I combined it with the birthday cake stencil from Pretty Pink Posh creating a slimline card. I mounted the stitched panel on a scalloped edge with paper from Papertreyink. I finished it off with my absolute favorite sequins, Friendship Mix

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have time to join us - we would love to see your creations!

MIUCB - Anything Goes + Optional Stamping (no digis)

Hi friends - how are you? I'm doing good, I have been creating up a storm, but not the best at sharing. But I'm back this month with a card I had so much fun creating!

Hopefully you will join us at Mix It Up this month, stop by and check out the fun creations the design team made.

I created this card for our son's birthday this year, I love this stencil from Pinkfresh Studios; I need to dig it out and use it again, I think for Christmas will be fun! His favorite color is orange, so I dug out lots of orange inks from Taylored Expressions. For the last swirl, I used deco foil duo gel, allowed it to dry and used a rainbow foil - it looks so cool IRL!

I stamped the ice cream scoops and cone on colored cardstock, die cut, and added some copic shading. The candles come from THIS set. I added some shading to the flames, some clear glitter and glossy accents. Tied a twin bow and tag onto one of the candles. I embossed a sentiment, added a little heart and it was good to go.

He turned 23, so I created 2 candles and 3 ice cream scoops. 😀

Thanks again for stopping by; hope you can join us this month at Mix It Up!

Heaviest hand in blending land! Did Someone Say Cake?

Hi friends! I have been creating so many cards, but not taking time to share them, so I'm working hard to turn that around.

One thing I have definitely learned about myself is I have one of the heaviest hands in blending land. 😂 I would have loved this card more if I had blended through the stencil lightly, but that's something I really struggle with. I still like it, but think it would be much more striking with a lighter background. That's okay - it's handmade and it was too late - in my opinion - to make a change when I realized it. I mean, I COULD take it apart, but my 'take apart' never seems to work as smooth as it does for Cathy Zielske, Jennifer McGuire, or Kristina Werner. lol

The stencil is from Pretty Pink Posh, the gorgeous washi tape is from Pinkfresh, sentiment is from Taylored Expressions embossed in white on black.

Thanks again for stopping by; hope you can join us this month at Mix It Up!

Mix It Up Challenge Blog - Anything Goes + optional No Stamping

Hi friends - I hope you had a very Merry Christmas; ours was great except for the nasty weather we had; 30 degrees below with wind chill. My hubby had a total knee replacement December 19 so that has kept us close to home BUT we've had to be out and about in the weather for his physical therapy. 😏

So let's move on to the fun these next two months!! At the Mix It Up Challenge Blog, it's always 'Anything Goes' but if you'd like to throw in the option of No Stamping, please do - but never required. Regardless, we enjoy seeing your projects!

I fell in love with these 'newer' Quadrant products from Pinkfresh Studios; I thought it would be fun to add a small poinsettia for the "O" in JOY; the poinsettia is from The Stamp Market. I am still working with foiling - it's new to me, but I do love how this turned out - fun, geometric and festive! All inks are from Taylored Expressions.

Once I had the poinsettia cut, I added some some shading and of course, added stickles and rock candy glitter to the letters and the poinsettia. Some sequins finish it off!

PS - I recognize these are not some of my best photos...I asked someone to help me and I don't think she was thrilled with the task; the photos show it. LOL!!

Thanks for popping in; hope to see you again soon, and don't forget to join the fun at Mix It Up!

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Hey there - thanks for stopping by today; I hope you are well!

As always, it's Anything Goes at Love to Scrap; hope you will join us!

I made two of these cards at the same time; you can see the other one here.  For 3 of the stencil layers, I used the same color ink, starting light and blending darker for each layer. For the last stencil, I sponged on Versamark and sprinkled on THIS embossing powder, which I freaking love.

I added a small poinsettia with the edges sponged, added some stickles and rock candy glitter to the poinsettia and letters. I LOVE this big JOY.

The sub-sentiment is from The Greetery also embossed with the same Ranger embossing powder; all inks are from Taylored Expressions. I added some sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for popping in; hope to see you again soon, and don't forget to join the fun at Love to Scrap!

MIUCB - Paper Piecing

Hi friends - how are you? I'm doing great!

This month at Mix It Up, we're focusing on paper piecing...a fave technique of mine and I'm so excited as the ENTIRE cupcake is paper pieced! I adore this Big and Bold Cupcake from Colorado Craft Company; I used various designer papers just hanging around in the studio. The frosting and cupcake are actually the exact same paper; I colored over the paper with brown copics for a chocolate cupcake. I added lots of shimmer to the frosting, black enamel for the strawberry seeds and coated it with glossy accents.

And can I just say - I would love some cupcake wrappers with those bicycles, aren't they just the cutest!?!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join us at Mix It Up this month!

Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

Hi friends! July is my birthday month, my ABSOLUTE favorite holiday! 😁 I hope I get to spend lots of time crafting!!

The challenge this month at Love to Scrap is Anything Goes; EVERYONE loves those challenges! I've gotten better at creating two-fers - you know, you have your supplies out, might as well stamp some extra things and make two cards at the same time.

I used The Greetery Square Dance Stencil on both cards; one correctly, one not. lol Regardless, I think they both turned out great. Also, for both I used the Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Die; on one I debossed, the other embossed. I cut the middle panel using the Pinkfresh Diagonal Stitched die and mounted with fun foam. Added some Old Paper sponging and then the layering begins! I used The Greetery Signed & Sealed stamp set and die and Mimosa Musings. I embossed the envelope for both; added ribbon to one and to the other, a sentiment on the envelope and embossing around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you join us over at Love to Scrap!

Clean and Simple * 2 and in Rainbow Style - MIUCB

Hi friends - I have been very absent, but for good reason! I had oral surgery November 13 and my father is back in the hospital. Goodness, lots going on!

This month at Mix It Up we are focusing on Clean and Simple and I will be the first to admit, I tend to struggle wth Clean and Simple! But I'm here with a twofer in rainbow style, zero embellishments, no stamping and no ink!

I bought the Pinkfresh Studio striped dies and spent an entire day cutting rainbows! I have so many rainbow cards coming your way, you might get tired of them. HA!

I adhered the various rainbow stripes to copy paper then die cut the image twice using the Reverse Confetti THANKS die - once from the rainbow paper, once from white card stock and paper pieced to make two easy cards. The first card is plain and simple, the 2nd card I added some ink blending and splatters, but nothing else.

I hope these inspire you to join the fun! Thanks for stopping by; may your day be filled with blessings!
