Love to Scrap Challenge - BINGO

It is our very last post for Love to Scrap; I'm not sure when/if the blog will return. Leslie - owner - is incredibly amazing, I have deeply enjoyed working for her!

Our last challenge is a fun one - BINGO! Here is the BINGO challenge we are using:

I went with G: gold, red, emboss, charm, green. I cheated on two, 😕, I actually have debossing on my tags and I don't own any charms, so I added some bells, because who wouldn't love a tag on their gift with jingle bells!

The tags were made using the Tag Team Duo dies, foil plate, and stamps. This was my first time working with my hot foil machine...boy did I learn A LOT; the right foil makes all the difference. I tried a million times, maybe more 😃, to use one of the prism foils; I tried shims, no shims, different papers, I tried all sorts of things and NEVER got a solid transfer; but I switched to this solid gold, and voila, the tags turned out magnificently.

I hope you have time to join us this busy month; we would love to see your creations!

Thanks for stopping by!

WHAT'S IT TAKE:

Stamps: The Greetery Tag Team Duo
Accessories: The Greetery Tag Team Duo Dies, Altenew Enamel Dots, Hot Foil, jingle bells, gold cord, red velvet ribbon

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Old Time

Hi friends; hope you are doing well! This month at Love to Scrap we are focusing on 'Old Time'; I'll be the first to admit, I'm not the best with old/vintage type projects - but I tried.  😉

I made a Christmas card using Aqua Mist and lots of antique linen & old paper distress ink to give it a more vintage vibe. I also stamped an adorable Santa on the December 25 in second generation mocha ink. I distressed all the edges, tied on some aqua mist seam binding and called it good!

I hope you will join us with your creation this month!

WHAT'S IT TAKE:

Stamps: Stampington and Co December 25, Inkadinkado Santa
Inks: TE Mocha, Old Paper and Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories: Seam binding, distressing tool, copics

MIUCB - Aperture (Fabulous or Fail)

Hi friends! Welcome back to this month's challenge at the Mix It Up Challenge Blog - APERTURE! I'm not sure if I accomplished the challenge? What do you say? I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but I had all these flowers stamped, so I decided to follow Jennifer McGuire's shadow box card video to create my card - boy did I learn a lot!

There really is a 'heavy' card stock that is - for me - too heavy for this type card. I used Brutus Monroe's Not Your Mama's Cardstock, it's 130 lb. and it certainly makes the card heavy weight, but doesn't crease as easy or elegant as something a wee bit less heavy weight. #lessonlearned

I also should have placed the butterfly much closer to the edge, it's really too far over for the design. 😖 But once you've used 2 way tape AND glue, there was no moving it. The card was fun to put together and I love how it turned out; it should fit an A2 envelope, but with such a heavy weight card stock, I found it was too think for an envelope. That's okay, it can easily be tucked into a gift bag or given directly to your recipient.

All flowers, sentments, and dies are from The Greetery, Always in Bloom. The circle dies are from SSS, HERE. The background has a heart stenciled with another stencil over the top, it looks cool IRL. Thanks for stopping by; I hope you join us; we truly love seeing your creations!

WHAT'S IT TAKE:

Stamps: The Greetery Always in Bloom, (butterfly from CHF, discontinued)
Papers: Brutus Monroe Not Your Mama's Cardstock, TE Cupcake. PTI Bitty Big
Accessories: The Greetery Always in Bloom dies, SSS circle dies, Copics
