Thank U - Blue

Same card as posted HERE; just done in blue this time!

I pulled out the little chick delivering an envelope, Reverse Confetti Cuts THANKS, the U from Verve Visual's You and I set (looks like it may be discontinued - sorry), the thin stripe background stamp from Impression ObsessionTHIS and THIS die and some paper scraps - I have those galore - and set about making a few different color combos. Today I wanted to show you the blue one; next up will be the pink one - they are all identical; the green one just had a smaller piece of pattern paper for the front. ;)

Here's a group shot I shared on Instagram.

I had the toughest time finding a way to make the 'thank' part work - as you can see from the Confetti Cut, I only used a small portion of the die; I finally ended up cutting it from vellum and layered it (slightly offset) on to True Black (2 cards) and Smokey Shadow (1 card). The U was stamped with the thin striped stamp mentioned above. The chick was colored with Copics, I added a white highlight and glossy accents to the heart of each. Super fun, super simple.

Thanks for stopping by!

HUGS!

Thank U - use ALL the companies

This post is all about using a zillion companies to make a card - HA!! Not really!

I had a co-worker ask about thank you cards and I had just recently received these adorable chicks from Stamping Bella and I saw THIS card and ideas started running amok!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Christmas

Hi friends - did you have a good week? Ours was another insanely busy one - I'm ready for a break. :D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see any project with a Christmas theme - pretty simple as it IS that time of year! And one lucky person will win 3 free downloads from Stamping All Day.
From Millan.Net
I pulled out this super cute image from Penny Black called Snowy and colored it up keeping everything else pretty simple. I used CAS(E) Sketch #103, I didn't add a sentiment as I kept that to the inside but such a great layout!

I sponged the edge of the main panel with several distress inks: old paper, vintage photo, and tea dye. Image is colored with Copics with a heavy layer of Clear Wink of Stella added to the scarf and stocking cap.

See that cream strip on the inside? It's the 'end' of a 6x6 paper pad where it is attached at the top - HA! Worked out great with the color scheme!!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have time to join us, we love seeing your creations!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Fave Color Combo

Hi friends - welcome back to another recipe challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week, we want to see you create something - anything - with your favorite colors (must use at least two colors)! I, like many others, really like the 'pool' color - light blue/aqua color. Most the time I do something with chocolate (the color - LOL) thrown in, but this time, I used some red with a touch of that aqua color and made 3 super fast cards.

Just for playing along with us, one person will win 3 free digital images from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity! Did you know she has a store? Sure enough, check it out HERE!

The layout comes from CAS(E) this Sketch #90 (CTS#90) - fun! I actually used a BG Copic on the bottom portion of the "hello" for an ombre effect but next to impossible to see in the photos. :( I added a layer of clear Wink of Stella to the stamped flowers, great sparkle IRL!

Anywho, thanks for popping in - hope you have a GREAT weekend! Ours will be busy - cross country meet and volleyball tournament, start times are the same...in two different cities. :( I hate missing any event!

Hugs,

CAS(E) this Sketch

This was an older sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch blog, super quick and simple. I used a piece of washi tape in the middle, embossed the flowers and colored with Distress Markers, removed the washi tape and stamped the sentiment from PTI's Big and Bold Wishes stamps set with Pure Poppy ink.

That's it - have a super weekend!

HELLO?

Hi friends! Welcome back to another super fun recipe from Crafts 4 Eternity - Best of British! My original idea didn't work out, so I spun off that picture and ended up with the card below. But first...let's talk about prizes!! Talk about a great prize - one person can win a $12 voucher to Di's Digi Downloads!

OK, I love these bright red phone booths which pop up in every Google search I do - but here's where I specifically Googled for British phone booths - look at all of them, aren't they too cute?

This sweet Papertreyink image and matching die - Heart to Heart #4 - worked perfectly. I also used a simple sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #77. I cut several circles with nesties, punched a couple circles, then used some circles from the Verve Scalloped Trim Trio circle die which I attached at the top of the card. I used scraps to insert behind the circles, focusing on red, white and a lighter blue than what you typically see for British colors - but I think it works. The sentiment was stamped in MFT Black Licorice; the inside says "how are you?", added another circle trim to the inside.

Super cute phone cord huh? I colored some twine with Copics and wrapped it around a small paint brush, sprayed with water and heat set - so fast and easy!!

TFL; hope you'll join this super fun recipe and play along with us; we love seeing your crafty goodness!
