Crafts 4 Eternity - Non-Traditional Christmas

Hi there! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, our recipe is Non-Traditional Christmas - it can be colors, image - whatever you choose, let's see what YOU think is non-traditional! And just for playing along, 1 person has the chance to win a $6 gift certificate to Floppy Latte Designs.

Do you have friends that say "I'm going to change my Christmas colors this year" - typically referring to the colors they use to decorate their house, tree, etc.? I have lots of friends that do that so I decided to change my wreath colors! :D Remember THIS card - GAH, personally, I love it. Really love the colors I used originally but hey, I'm certainly digging the new purple and silver! What say you?

Image is from Ladybug Crafts Ink - a digital image. I colored the image with 3 different purples and a silver wink of stella pen - yeah, I'm addicted; just love the sparkle! After coloring the purple bow, I added clear wink of stella. :D I mounted the image onto PTI Royal Velvet and then silver card stock using those gorgeous paper pierced circle dies from MFT.

LOTS of shimmer and sparkle!

Thanks for popping in; hope you'll join the fun at Crafts 4 Eternity; we absolutely LOVE seeing your creations! Have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Wags 'n Whiskers - Things With Wings

Hi friends, how are you? Oh goodness, I LOVED coloring this image - this is sweet little Hannah, seriously, is she not just adorable? Hope you will play along with us at Wags 'n Whiskers and show us your creations with wings, you also have the chance to win a free rubber stamp from Wags 'n Whiskers!

I made her into a little birthday tag you can tie onto a package, I added LOTS of embellishments! :D The more the merrier, right? HA!

The image image was cut with a nestie, colored and outlined with a soft pink copic. The tag is by Memory Box distressed die and matching stamp (not that you can see the distressed stamping at all - HA, the results of all those embellishments).

I stamped the distressed tag image in MFT's pink lemonade, layered on some polka dot washi tape, a white partial doily, some Doodlebug sprinkles in pink and white, a double-bow of twine, pink button and finished it off with 2 colors of pink twine for tying onto a gift sack.

The image was colored with Copics and of course, I used the clear Wink of Stella on her wings. TFL; hope you'll join the fun at Wags 'n Whiskers!

Hey there, how are you?

Thanks for popping by - this week over at Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog, we are going all blue and white and boy is there some incredible eye candy for you to see - check all the design team inspiration HERE! Hope you can find some crafty time this week and join the fun.

I have used one of my ALL-TIME favorite images from Ladybug Crafts Ink (LCI); this wreath isn't just for Christmas, but boy do I love it - its so gorgeous all by itself!! I went pretty CAS (clean and simple) using lots of white and some Blueberry Sky paper - delicious color! I added some white and blue seam binding and some clear Wink of Stella glitter to the bow - LOOK at that sparkle!!

For the blue layer, I used a stencil and painted it with light modeling paste - kinda looks like snow eh? Well...except for they are all the same size - HA! :D Cool IRL.

Thanks for popping in; hope you have a great week and to my USA comrades, HAPPY GOBBLE GOBBLE DAY!!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Glitter and Sparkle

Hi friends! Thanks for popping in! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, our recipe is glitter and sparkle. Mine is subtle, but it's there! Play along showing us YOUR sparkle and glitter and you could win 3 digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity!

I tried Jennifer McGuire's great tutorial Die Cut + Stamping, you can see the video HERE. Ummm....I think for a 'first time try' a solid die cut would have been easier than the individual letters in the word "hello"; oh well, still think it turned out super cute and unexpected! I used various circles on hand and a variety of inks. To get the sparkle, I used a clear Wink of Stella pen only on the solid medium sized circles - fun, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE WOS pens!!! Hope Santa brings me more - I need them!
Just as Jennifer did in her video, I cut 8 additional pieces of lightweight card stock to create my own chip board underneath the stamped letters; they fit right back into the die cut space just like a puzzle.

Thanks for stopping in; hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Valentine's Day?

Do you ever visit stores and complain because they have Christmas decorations out at Halloween? Well, I'm going to push you right over the edge by sharing a Valentine's Day card - HA! I think it's definitely one of my FAVORITE days for creating cards. This was 'just for fun' stamping although it started out rather painful - but in the end, it came together and I like it. It's definitely busy!

The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #197 (SSSC197). The papers are some older valentine papers - Devoted. I adhered the ticket's to a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock but also punched out the area between each ticket so they would resemble more of the typical tickets you receive at an arcade. Lots of stitching, the adorable Jotted Heart die from Verve Visual - cut twice - once from DP, one from Chocolate cardstock. I then added the "U" die, also from Verve Visual which was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and covered in clear Wink of Stella glitter (BTW, my pen is OUT of glitter...must buy immediately)!

If you notice, the heart says 'adore' right in the middle, so I was thinking it would be "Adore You", "Love You", "Cherish You" or just about anything. And the ONLY stamping is the inside which I decorated with several flags and an "I love you" sentiment from Papertreyink.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great week!

Kids and Tic Tac Toe

In the past, its possible I've been known to NOT play tic tac toe very well, sometimes I kind of pick and choose but this time, I thought I better play correctly! :)~

Here's the tic tac toe board for Crafts 4 Eternity:

You can play tic tac toe also and have a chance to win 3 free digital images from Crafty Sentiments Designs!!

And while I was at it, I combined tic tac toe and made a card...well technically a tag...for a kid (Wags 'n Whiskers), another fantastic challenge!! Play along with Wags 'n Whiskers for your chance to win one free rubber stamp...AND use a Wags 'n Whiskers image and you will be entered in the drawing TWICE!!

Won't this tag be just perfect to tie onto a gift sack? You can write your message right there on the back of the tag! Love!!

I used Toby's Big Day - truly love this image for kiddo's - and went with a diagonal tic tac toe of red (balloon, party hat, accents), tearing (star strip down the side) and stripes (patterned paper, party hat and can we count the ribbon on the package - ha)! I used the distressed tag from Memory Box dies cut from patterned paper and a piece of white cardstock; then stamped both with the matching stamp and Memento London fog ink. Lines and everything so its easy to write your message.

Love how the balloon hangs off the edge!

Gettin' Krafty over at Ladybug Crafts Ink

Hi friends - how are you doing? We had an absolutely whirlwind weekend filled with a wee bit of stress - glad its over, just need to recuperate...and do the laundry. Not sure WHY the laundry fairies never take care of this issue for me. :D

We have a new bi-weekly challenge up over at Ladybug Crafts Ink - use kraft cardstock. I adore kraft cardstock... a lot...and I love that you can have kraft envelopes too - delightful!

I needed a birthday card and love this Nikki birthday image (70% off in the store - WOWZA); I stamped the image onto kraft cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa and colored her up with a mix of Copics, colored pencils and spica glitter pens. I used some ribbon from Verve Visual which is somewhat kraft-y in color. I added a double bow and tied on a red button with some twine to finish it off.

OK, seriously - did you laugh at the sentiments on the inside? :D

Layout comes from The Pink Elephant - TPE224; cute layout. That's it, I'll see you again this week, until then have some fun...get inky with some kraft cardstock and join the fun at LCI!!

Hugs,
