Crafty Creations - ANYTHING but a card

This week Crafty Creations is sponsored by:

Guylou';s Inimitability

AND the team is creating ANYTHING but a card - so come on, get those creative juices flowing and show us something that's not a card!

This was the perfect time for me to try something I've been wanting to try for ages...but haven't! A 2-pocket brown paper bag; I saw the idea over on Mish Mash's blog and finally decided to give it a whirl. Love when I'm pushed to try something new!

I made a S-U-P-E-R fast gift for our youngest son's teacher - honestly, this took me 20 minutes (yes, please write that down - a complete record for me)!

I repurposed tissue paper from Victoria's Secret :D, and filled the bag with Valentine York Peppermint Patties and a little American Crafts lined die cut card which was stamped with "Happy Valentine's Day". The pink polka dot hearts are left over from the heart border from the front of the sack! I sewed the polka dot sack on 3 sides, added some fun DP, inserted the tissue paper and treats and voila - a gift sack!  LOVE!!
From this angle, you can see both pockets! :D

Filled with treats and card

Treats and card outside the bag!
Thanks for popping in - and before you go, this will be my last post for awhile...I'll be back, just don't know when! I have surgery scheduled for February 13 - I'll know just how long I will be down and out once I wake up from surgery (hate not knowing). My options will be: 1-wear a sling "as needed", complete PT and pretty much go about life; 2-mandatory wearing of a sling for 6 weeks, complete PT and don't think about getting crafty for awhile. Unfortunately, the answer will not be revealed until I'm under the knife. BOO HISS - obviously I'm hoping for option #1...but we'll soon know!

So no worries, I'll see you again "soon"!

Hugs, ~M.
