Pretty Little Lady

These girls have been in my stamp room for a few months, but haven't seen any ink. (Little Lady by Papertreyink) :(

I had to change that last weekend when I saw SCS card sketch challenge - I love it and went to work! I enjoyed working with the these Little Ladies so much that I made 2 identical cards and also a 4" x 4" card and matching envelope inspired by Mish Mash.

This first card is for sketch challenge #179; the Little Lady and saying are from Papertreyink. The quote "A happy life is made of little things" is actually one long quote; but I curled it around my acrylic block to make it fit along the curved circle I punched. I used Pixie Pink and Pink Passion for the lady bug; Certainly Celery for the quote.

The base card is Pixie Pink, layered with Certainly Celery and then the dee-lish DP from DCWV Nana's Kids - matches perfectly huh? Several things within both the ladybug paper and striped paper are glitterfied and embossed - love that! I used Clevey Lever Marvy punches for the cirlce and scalloped circle; the ribbon is from Michael's.

This next card features the same paper and stamp set; but I added the word "Believe". I have a dear friend who is expecting their 2nd child; their daughter turns 2 on July 4th and unfortunately they lost their 2nd pregnancy last year on Thanksgiving day. My heart has gone out to them day in and day out, quietly holding my breath until they were ready to try again. They're ready and they're PREGNANT! I know what its like to lose a pregnancy, and I know how scary everything is the next time around so I want them to "Believe"!! I'm thinking of them so I made this quick little 4" x 4" card inspired by Mish Mash and dropped it off last week to them.

This picture shows the card as well as the matching envelope.

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you're having a great weekend. Hope you visit again soon! Hugs, ~M.

  1. simply adorable. I love l lady bugs. In Italy they are referred to as "la fortuna" because they are supposed to be good luck.
The paper and the colors on this card are fabulous!

  2. I love this little stamp set...I have had it for a while now and haven't used it yet...want to get that done soon. Isn't that just sick how your mouth waters over stmap sets and then you get them and don't get a chance to use them right away...the life of a mommy huh?
