Color Recipe - Cinnamon

Good morning friends!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we are celebrating with a Color/Colour Recipe - Cinnamon; YUMMY!!! Aren't these colors divine?
Go ahead, play along as you have a chance to win 3 free digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity!

Yeah - I love ANY color with chocolate but I tend not to use much in the orange realm. Hmph, you would never know that by this card eh? Sympathy cards are always needed, so I used a really old SU! floral set and the grid technique which Just Us Girls featured a few weeks ago. I stamped the image with Rusty Hinge then stamped again offset slightly using Spiced Marmalade. Then I added lots of distress ink in Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. I also edged the designer paper in Wild Honey and did a bit of sewing. Created two flags with designer paper, a flower from an old paperback book and centered 3 chocolate pearls within the flower. Layout is Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #120 (DS120).

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join along in our Color/Colour Recipe - it's a good one!! Have a great weekend.

Hugs,

Stitching or Paper Piercing - you choose

Hi friends - how are you? I am good; had a super busy weekend, since Thursday night our middle daughter has played 20 sets of volleyball - 13 of those on Saturday! :D FUN TIMES!!

Glad you stopped by, the girls over at Ladybug Crafts Ink are joining forces this week making cards featuring 'stitching' or 'paper piercing' - you choose and join along! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to stitch on my cards...however, there isn't much on this one huh? :-/

I love this silly snowman decorating the tree - seriously, isn't he just adorable? Kerry has released several new silly snowmen images - check them out HERE!

I made a super simple square card and 'tried' to use the Less is More sketch challenge.  Yeah, I have some white space but probably a few too many layers and embellies - LOL!! Still a fun jumping off point! I added lots of glitter and some rock candy for the snow.

See that polka dot flag? I made it using washi tape!! LOVE! I carried that same washi tape over on the inside and onto the envelope; just a perfect addition to a simple Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great week!

Cute Kids

This week over at Crafts 4 Eternity, we are focusing on children-themed projects - since my babes are all a little bit older (but I'm not - HA), I went with a teenage bday card because I can never have enough of those on hand...you know, when your teenage says "oh, I have a bday party tomorrow, do you have a card I can use" - well, there you go, now I have one in stock - HA HA HA!!

We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs; play along and YOU could win 3 digital images and boy, are there some cute ones!!

I wanted to make a super fun girly card; what do you think? We have feathers, a 3-looped bow, a button...with glitter added with a Wink of Stella pen, some pink floss and the super cute image "Cinnamon" from Penny Black.

The image was colored with Copics and colored pencils, I also used a Spica glitter pen on the pretty flower in her hair and a yellow gel pen (candle flame).

I added some washi tape and carried over the paper on the inside too. Hope you take some time to join us this week; we love seeing your creations!

No Squares at Ladybug Crafts Ink

This week over at Ladybug Crafts Ink, Lyndsey said NO SQUARES... WHOOP, WHOOP - I think we all had fun with this one!

I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's balloon card - but seriously; WHY does she make everything look so stinking easy and it is so painful for me? HA!

I used a silver card stock for the front - kind of like a Mylar balloon me thinks! This is numberless Billie's Balloons - it also has a little doodle line and flower which I just cut out when I fussy cut the image.

I also fussy cut the balloons - TWICE - for lots of dimension; once from card stock, the second time from designer paper; I even paper pieced little Billie - cute eh? I thought so. I added some doodling, then added some string with modeling paste applied so I could make a couple loops in the string - also from Jennifer's video.

Hope you have some time to play along with us this week - just remember - NO SQUARES! :D Thanks for popping in; see you again soon!

Recycle - Crafts 4 Eternity

Another super fun "recipe" over at Crafts 4 Eternity - RECYCLE! The DT has some incredible products for you to see!

We are sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs - a $6 gift certificate for one lucky winner - won't you join the fun?

Me? I received this gift bag last year with a sticker on it, of course when I removed the sticker it tore off some of the paper. :( What's a girl to do? Why yes, dress it up and make it a seriously cute Christmas gift sack!!

I used an adorable Christmas cupcake from Paper Cupcakes - even better, they are calorie free! :D I fussy cut the cupcake, then used some older DP by My Mind's Eye, a border punch and some sewing to finish it off. The layout comes from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #227 (HERE).

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will join along in our RECYCLE challenge!

Friend...

Hi friends, how are you doing? I had a rough week last week, did NOT feel well - in fact, I was in bed and asleep one night by 6:30 p.m. #true!

This card was made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #192 (SSSC192); I love this sentiment from Inkadinkado! I used lots of leftover MME paper (I honestly have enough hoarded to last me a year or so...HA), some fun MME enamel dots, a beautiful quilting embossing folder, some swirls from Verve, distressing - both with ink and an edger - and finished it up with some stitching. I LOVE the beautiful mint paper on the inside, so I snapped a picture of it too.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT week!

Dreams and Love

I LOVED the sketch at My Favorite Things this week - #139. Of course, the CAS within my head imploded when I set about making my card - HA!! Not really, just ended up with a few more pieces than anticipated, but it's all good! :D

I love the striped black paper against the flowers and aqua mist card stock; DP is all from My Mind's Eye. The flowers are from Verve's Kind Words set; I stamped them in PTI Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist, then gave them a good coloring with my clear Wink of Stella pen - can you see that sparkle?
Can you see the sparkle on the flowers and the heart?

Inside
I also added dimension to the little heart by die cutting 3 layers, adhering them together and coloring it with the glitter pen too. LOVE ME SOME SHIMMER!

The sentiment is from PTI's Heart Print Sentiments. I turned the inside into an anniversary card stamping the flowers in VersaMark; the sentiment in Berry Sorbet and a bit more striped paper.

Thanks for popping in; hope you have a great week!

Winter Wonderland

😋

Welcome to the Ladybug's Silly Snowmen release - oh these little guys (hmmm...are some a girl do you think? HA) are so very cute, love them!! And so  many options, be sure to pop over to the main blog (HERE) and check them all out AND the lovely eye candy from the design team!

My little friend is "decorating the tree". I colored the image with Copics, then embossed the main image with a bitty dot embossing folder which was layered on another piece of card stock embossed with a quilting folder. I added some glitter, enamel accents for the eyes, glossy accents to the star and some dee-lish red/white twine tied off with a cute little tag which says "very merry".
