Just For You

I LOVE creating for Valentine's Day; but if you saw THIS post, that's where all my time was spent...but I did purchase the Simon Says Stamp February kit (sold out); but it made it so quick and easy to put this card together. I added some glossy accents and sprinkles of glitter for a little fun! Literally ZERO stamping (even the 'love' inside is part of the paper), how's that for quick?

Thanks for stopping by; hope you are having a GREAT week!

Hugs,

Good Vibes Only

We recently had someone leave our company so I wanted to make a cool (IMO) card for him that everyone could sign. He loves surfing so I thought the "Good Vibes Only" stamp was a good one to use. I started with some designer paper and stamped a couple different images using Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress inks - look how AWESOME they stamped using these Vibes stamps by Unity (tons of great images in this set); oftentimes, you have to use Oxide inks to get this great of an impression but these are just remarkable! I added some sponging around the edges; stamped the sentiment and added glue to the bottom portion of the letters; once dry, I added foil - it's kind of a bronze color; I think it just looks cool.

I added a scallop, sponged also, some brown card stock I ran through my paper crimper and tore and tied on some chocolate bakers twine. This card was inspired by Bobbi Smith for Ranger Ink.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT week!

Hugs,

Sharing Love - Valentine's Day Blog Hop

It's a Valentine's Day Blog Hop with TONS of inspiration; hope you'll check out all the amazing creations!

BUT before we get to the creation; I WILL have a prize (or maybe two), just didn't have time to photograph before leaving on V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!! Whoop, whoop - leave a comment and tell me the best gift you have given or received for Valentine's Day for your chance to win!

I decided to get adventurous and create gifts for all our employees so this is just a tiny sampling of what I created, what is inside each bag and then an appreciation page for each employee.

The first thing I did was create an 8 1/2 x 11 page for each employee with a cute Valentine border and then lines on the page for writing; each week, we took 5-6 employees and everyone else wrote notes of appreciation about that employee; seriously WHO does not love to hear good things about themselves, particularly when it comes to their co-workers, #amiright?

Then I worked on creating these gift sacks filled with candy, hot chocolate and a cute little straw; the envelope you see will also be tucked in to the bag for each employee. I hope they love these as much as I did in creating them!

The bags and straws came from Etsy (Shop Cherry Sprinkles); the tags on the bag are Reverse Confetti and the hearts are Lawn Fawn and Papertreyink; a few of the bags have doilies, just a hodge podge of fun!! I stamped some of the hearts with various stamps (I will link below); thinking employees can take their treats out and use the sacks for another gift or even re-gift what they received; I wouldn't mind.

Thanks for joining our Valentine's Day Blog Hop; hope you enjoy all the inspiration! And don't forget to leave me a note (as mentioned above) for your chance to win...pretty confident there will be MORE than one gift. ;)

Hugs,

Rubber Band Stamping

What a fun Mix It Up Challenge this month - stamping with rubber bands! I have always used a brayer when using rubber bands but I knew I didn't want to do that this time; I wanted to try something different...AND I needed a birthday card for our son, a boy that LOVES orange!! Just look at this photo; talk about orange, that is NOT red hair, it was ORANGE; he's grown up and I just love everything about him!!

OK; back to my creation! I masked off a heart in the middle of the orange die cut; wrapped some rubber bands around an acrylic block and inked with VersaMark; once I had the entire panel stamped, I removed the mask and sprinkled on Hero Arts white embossing powder melting with my heat gun. I then stamped Happy Birthday on a white die cut heart and embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I sponged on Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks; spritzed with water and lifted with a dry paper towel. I then adhered the heart with fun foam and layered on to a white die cut also sponged with Spiced Marmalade and finally an orange card base.

I have to admit, I really love the design of the rubber band stamping! Once I had the card put together, I decided some twine would be a nice touch for a masculine card.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll join us this month - we love seeing your creations!

Hugs,
