You

Happy birthday to YOU! If it's your birthday anyway. ;)

Remember THIS card with basically the same background; I mentioned I made several different backgrounds using Oxide Inks and this was another one I had ready to put to use. I pulled out some new to me designer paper from Reverse Confetti and cut this big ole YOU out of fun foam and one layer of the designer paper, adhered together and coated with glossy accents. I added the 'happy birthday to' with Hero Arts intense black ink stamped a couple times since the paper was water color paper.

Look at that shimmery pink envie from SSS! *SWOON*

The rest, I kept pretty simple, added a strip of glitter black paper and more of the designer paper to finish it off, a totally CAS (clean and simple) card!

Thanks for stopping by, I love when you visit!

Hugs,

Thanks...for so many things!

Over the last few holidays, I've made treats for my co-workers; I just love leaving a little treat on their desks!

For Easter, I just finished up these cups filled with a Reese's PB egg, Cadbury Crispy eggs, Dove milk chocolate eggs and a couple mini Ghirardelli treats. That was the easy part; I wrapped them up in tulle - sparkly tulle for the girls of course - tied them off with some ribbon.

The tags were cut with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Party Banners from Neenah 110 lb. card stock; I splattered with oxide inks and then cute another tag from several different sheets of Illustrated Faith's You Are Loved transparencies. I cut a little less than half of the transparent tag for each white tag; layered it on, added some glue under the sentiment circles and tied on these handmade tassels to each cup. Boy, those tassels were 'quite' the learning experience - HA!

I think they turned out super cute, I can't wait to hand them out tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by; hope you had a great weekend. See you again very soon!

Hugs,

Inspired by Melissa Bickford

I was recently inspired by a card Melissa posted on Instagram - love the inspiration! I stamped the Impression Obsession background rose stamp in Cracked Pistachio oxide ink on PTI Aqua Mist card stock; I then created the focal panel setting it off with some graphic black and white paper. The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Brushes and colored pencils.

I also took inspiration from Kathy and added 'eyelashes' and white polka dots and lines.

The Hero Arts 'thanks' was cut multiple times, again from aqua mist, I added some shading on the bottom for a bit of an ombre effect and also covered with glossy accents; the additional sentiment was stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you are having a great week!

Verve Beautiful Things with Mega 3D Dimension

The kind of dimension that doesn't fit in an envelope. :D

I had so much fun creating this card! Those flowers are made from a paperback book, I typically use a brad to secure the flower but this time, to allow for more dimension, I only added glue to the center of each layer.

I cut 6 layers of the flower using Verve's Beautiful Things die, stamped the top layer with Hero Arts Intense Black and colored with Distress Crayons - actually I just laid down some color and smeared it with my finger - yep, sure 'nuff! I added glossy accents to the center of each flower and sprinkled on some chunky glitter.

The background was stamped with Verve's Text Objects and embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder; I smooshed (technical term - HA) on color with Distress Inks, added the black frame, some polka dot vellum leaves and called it good!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great day!

Now it's time for Pretty in Purple

I mentioned earlier this week I had made several backgrounds using Oxide inks and various distress inks and here's another one, you can see the first one HERE. I sponged on some Wilted Violet, then added more ink through this cool Hero Arts stencil (Crossing Waves); then I moved the stencil just slightly and added Steel Grey ink from MFT Stamps. Once dry, I spritzed with water, glimmer mist, added some splatters of Hero Arts Unicorn mist and black enamel accents (watered down).

Much like the Pretty in Pink card, I colored this gorgeous Stampendous Fresh Bloom with purple copics adding some white dots for accents. I again die cut and stamped the leaves with SSS Floral Shapes, embossed another sentiment from MFT's Doodle Bloom card set along with the word frame die.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you are having a great HUMP day!

Pretty in Pink

So many people continue to show incredible kindness to our family as we continue to take baby steps to recover from the catastrophic event that truly consumes our lives. (Forever Destroyed) Times you never dreamed you would find yourself facing.

Among those is one very special, sweet friend...and co-worker. I wanted to make several cards to give to her as I return her containers which contained meals for us. #soblesssed

I created several backgrounds on water color paper using oxide inks; this one is Worn Lipstick; after sponging on a random layer, I used Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies and cut the diamond pattern from grunge board and used as a die to sponge on a heavier layer of Worn Lipstick. Once dry, I spritzed with glimmer mist and added some Hero Arts unicorn spray using just the nozzle.

The flower was one I colored at the very beginning of Kathy Racoosin's 30 day coloring challenge, amazing the colors were a perfect match. The sentiment and die strip are from MFT's Doodle Bloom card kit; the pink card stock was a little lighter than I wanted, so I colored it with a pink Copic to darken it just a bit. The leaves were cut from SSS Floral Shapes from some fun gray polka dot paper.

Thanks for stopping by; although life still feels so out of control; I'm hoping to get back to 'some' creating if for no other reason than therapeutic purposes - I'm sure you can relate. Have a great week!
