Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Hi friends! It's the challenge EVERYONE loves - Anything Goes over at Crafts for Eternity! I have lots of cards I haven't shared but I really like this one - an image in which I tried my hand at no line water coloring made into a sweet little birthday card!

Up for grabs are 3 downloads from Stamping All Day, hope you will take some time and join the fun!

I used this adorable image, la soiree, from Penny Black and Inktense Pencils; this was my second attempt at no line coloring and I like this one a lot more; but man oh man - have you seen Alice Wertz's no line coloring? That chick is 'DA BOMB - check her out!

I added some clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the balloons, a shiny piece of silver card stock finishes it off. Thanks for stopping in; hope you'll join the fun this week!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Music

Hi friends - happy Friday! How was your week? Ours has been C-R-A-Z-Y...in 3 days (Monday - Wednesday), I had traveled 1600 miles with ZERO travel on Tuesday. GULP; crazy; I'll add another 150-200 miles to that on Friday. Lots of fun stuff, hope to share some of it soon! You can see a sneak peak of some of the fun on my Instagram feed! :D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see your projects featuring MUSIC; doesn't everybody love some good music? One lucky participant will win 3 free digital images from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity!

I have had this stamp from Inkadinkado for ages and LOVE it so much! As I was working on a totally unrelated project, I saw the paper pad I was using included sheet music - seriously, doesn't get much easier than that. Super easy card, lots of distressing with both ink and a tool; a strip of vellum, a button, and some music washi tape on the inside finishes it off.

The layout was last week's MFTWSC237 (see below). A fun, skewed sketch; love sketches too!

Thanks for popping by; hope you have a great weekend! Our oldest has oral surgery this morning, then I'm picking up our middle one later in the day, she's been shadowing a neurosurgeon for 2 days (yes, she was IN the operating room with him); lots of good stories there too.

Take care!!

Hugs,

Viva la Verve July 2015 Week 2

I have not played with the Viva la Verve challenges in...well...forever? It's been ages; but I really loved the inspiration for them team; I also wanted to use up some scraps from this paper pad from MME so I set about making a fun little card.

The tags were cut with MFT's tag builder set, I then hand cut the tails; the 'hello was cut 4 times from Kraft cardstock, the final layer is Tim Holtz water color paper sponged with Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry and layered onto a PTI scribbled circle. The tags were layered on PTI's polka dot vellum; the rest is self-explanatory. Easy but fun - love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT week; take care!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Sport

Hi there - hope you are each doing well!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see projects with a SPORTS theme or element - hope you will join the fun! One lucky participant will win 4 FREE IMAGES from Sassy Studio Designs.

Our two younger babes have been very busy with activities this summer, particularly sports related. Our daughter drives, but not our son (although he finished driver's ed this summer and can officially drive - he needs a vehicle - HA)...anywho...there were several times a co-worker's son gave our son a ride from one practice to the next practice so what perfect timing for this challenge (often those rides were to or from basketball practice)!

We purchased a gift card for him and I created a card using his favorite color - KState purple. And what a perfect time to play along with Laurie's challenge at Papertrey Ink to create your own custom border!

Nothing fancy, some stamping, a bit of shading with Copics on the basketballs, some embossing, a vertical gift card holder (from MFT), a "Thank You" rub on and some shiny silver card stock as a final decorative touch. I heard he loved the card and the gift card - success! Nothing like helping a kiddo with fuel, or a treat, or both if they so desire - we truly appreciate his help!

Hope you'll play along this week; we'd love to see your SPORTS themed project!

Hugs,
