Crafts 4 Eternity - Special Mums

Mums/Moms - that's what we are celebrating this week over at Crafts 4 Eternity. I love my mom dearly - she is my absolute best friend in the entire universe. I've always believed you have to be a mom before you get to be their friend - it worked with my mom, here's hoping that holds true with our girls!! Here's what's up for grabs just for playing along this week:
digi stamps 4 joy

One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 voucher to Digistamps 4 Joy!

I don't why, but I often think of flowers when I think of mom... so I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #338 and some super fun new products AND a new technique - let's see what you think! :D

I cut all my panels from MME's Lost and Found Record It paper and mounted it to MFT's Whip Cream card stock. I then cut a Kraft pierced circle and here's where the new technique comes in (and I am sooo sad to say that I watched the video just TODAY and cannot remember where I saw it - if someone knows, leave me a comment and I'll link back)... Anywho...I used MFT's LJD Peaceful Flowers stencil and sponged on MFT's Sweet Tooth ink and let it dry. Then I shifted the stencil and added some Bubblegum and Electric Red ink for the flowers and Fuse Green for the stems and leaves. The video then said to stamp the outline image in black in, BUT the matching stamp set does not have outline images, just solid images...so what's a girl to do? Yep - use the same stencil and just draw around the images with a black fine tip sharpie. :D I love how it turned out; it's not meant to be all tidy and perfect, LOVE!! I then stamped 2 different center pieces in MFT's Red Hot ink; covered the large circle with a large amount of Crystal Accents and then dumped on some rock candy crystals. I added just a small dot to the center of the other flower.

The rest of the card pretty much follows the sketch; added some stitching, some random chocolate dots within the Verve Visual Banner Trim Die, sewed around the edges and added some gorgeous sparkling MME enamel dots. That's it!!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you will take some time this week and celebrate YOUR special mum/mom over at Crafts 4 Eternity!

Hugs,

SURPRISE - Whimsy and Stars Studio

I am so excited to announce I am designing for Whimsy and Stars Studio - oh, that first word sums my style up completely! :D I. LOVE. WHIMSY. and am thrilled to be a part of this team!!!

And today while we are announcing the design team, we are also showing off a new image - Daisy Bunny - ok seriously, is this not the most adorable bunny image? That headband and flower? That flowing dress? That carrot? Ackkk...I'm in love!

I made a 2-pocket gift sack, you remember how much I love them right? I've made some in the past, here are two recent ones: Gift Sack with Texture and Bright and Bold Gift Sack.

Daisy made this one so very easy with lots of 3D dimension!! I paper pierced Daisy's dress in two parts, not completely attaching at the bottom so I could lift it up just a bit and then I mounted a 2nd carrot and her paws with 3D glue dots - love all the dimension.

Papers are from MME; added some ribbon, a border punch, a gorgeous Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose from MFT as well as some Layered Leaves also by MFT. Lots of fun mixy-matchy paper! I added a large coral brad to the center of the rose.

Be sure to stop by the blog, I promise the design team has whipped up some amazing projects using Daisy Bunny, you'll be happy you took a look!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great day!!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Its the challenge everyone loves - ANYTHING GOES - over at Crafts 4 Eternity! I have lots of things I have created but not yet shared, so this one was pretty easy! :D I like easy!!
sassy studio designs

This weeks prize is kindly donated by Sassy Studio Designs. One randomly selected winner will receive 4 images from their fabulous collection.

I recently made 4 different sets of 4 cards each, so I thought I'd share one of those sets with you today. The original design can be seen HERE; I just changed up the colors, used these gorgeous flowers from MFT (LJD Peaceful Wildflowers), did some stitching...and the customer requested birds, so I included birds on 3 of the sets of cards. This little birdy was stamped on some MME designer paper and die cut, then added to the focal piece - in various places. The flowers were stamped with VersaMagic Mango and Persimmon. The designer paper is a really, really old collection from MME - you know me, trying to use up that designer paper that is trying to take over my studio. LOL

TFL; hope you check out what the design team has created, then join us - its ANYTHING GOES, so get those entries in!! Have a great weekend!!

Ladybug Crafts Ink - For a Special Lady

Hi there friends, how are you? I'm doing great!!

This week at Ladybug Crafts Ink (LCI), we are celebrating "For a Special Lady" using the gorgeous Nikki - take a few minutes and check out what the design team has created, talk about some BEAUTIFUL cards!!!

I'm using "Make a Wish Nikki"; one of my all-time favorite images from Ladybug Crafts Ink!! And I did water coloring for the first-time using some crayons I've had on hand for YEARS... I did not use watercolor paper and will remedy that immediately, but for the first time, I'll take it. And don't you LOVE that blue eye shadow? LOL, didn't we ALL go through a phase of wearing blue eye shadow? I know my oldest daughter did - thankfully she can instruct the younger daughter on how uncool it is. HA!!

I mounted the image with 2 layers of foam adhesives so it's really popped up! I added a piece of Doodlebug "Take Note" polka dot paper with a semi circle cut out - nothing goes to waste, I used the other portion of the circle on the inside of the card (see below).

A big Hibiscus Burst bow, some embossing and a bit of clear Wink of Stella sparkle on the frosting. The polka dot strip across the bottom? That's the decorated envelope, I have washi tape that matches the dots perfectly, just a bit larger. Swoon! Love me some washi tape.

Thanks for popping in - hope you have a great week. And don't forget to take some time to join the fun and create a card "For a Special Lady" and you have any LCI images, go ahead and get them inky while you're at it! See you again soon!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Sketch

Hi friends, how are you?

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we have a fabby sketch for you to use - check it out:

crafts 4 eternity
This weeks prize is donated by Crafts 4 Eternity.
One randomly selected winner will receive a choice of 3 Digital Stamps from the C4E collection.

I pulled out two stamp sets from PTI, On the Couch and On the Couch Additions; love the matching dies for the 'sofa' and 'chair'. I die cut the chair from designer paper, then stamped the outline and added some shading.

I used an older MME paper set and demanded that I only use 'scraps' from within the paper pad, no pulling out new pieces of paper! One way or another I will whittle down my hoarding pile of 6x6 paper pads. :D

Instead of the half circle to the left of the image, I added a cute little pillow that was fussy cut and also stamped the pillow randomly on the card stock using VersaMark ink; as you can see I added 3 more pillows to the inside, a bit of stitching and voila, that's it! Thanks for popping in; hope you will take the time to join us using the above sketch. Have a GREAT weekend!

I made this card several months ago but never shared it, now was the perfect time. It's pretty straight forward and CAS; some distressing, some watercolor spots made with crayons, an embossed image, some zig zag stitching, and a few enamel dots and there ya have it!!

LCI - Boyz Rule..Girlz Drool!

HA - have you heard your kids say that? yes, I know those words should end in "s", not "z"; but my card is all cool like that ya know? :D

This week at Ladybug Crafts Ink we're celebrating ONE FOR THE BOYS! And I'm using Graffiti Wall Josh - LOVE!!! I'm not much in to boy images...at all...and don't do too well with masculine cards but this image makes it so very easy - love how it turned out!

I colored the image with Copics, then added a sidewalk in which Josh is standing on. I used some two-tone colors on some of the Graffiti and then you can see in this first picture, I carried over the graffiti look to the envelope. I distressed the card with Black Soot distress ink as well as a paper distressor - I also curled a couple corners and used some gray and white and black and white floss. The base card is True Black and the main panel is Smokey Shadow embossed with lines and gently highlighted with PTI cream ink. A pop of Scarlet Jewel behind the image ties all those great, funky colors together.

TFL; hope you'll take the time to join us at Ladybug Crafts Ink and celebrate ONE FOR THE BOYS.
