Last one for Sweet Stampin'!

Hi there! This is my last week guest designing over at Sweet Stampin'; I have so enjoyed the challenges! This week, our focus is "A Little Bird Told Me", meaning your project must contain a bird - I actually already had a card designed BUT why rest on your laurels, right? ;) Instead, I created a card with a stamp set and matching dies I've had for quite some time and have never used! O.o

Yeah, they call this hoarding - LOL!

Before we get to the card, let's talk about prizes, who doesn't love prizes? This week we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons AND the monthly sponsor  is The Ribbon Girl, win a £10 voucher.

OK, on to the craftiness! I love this little set from PTI, Little Bitty Bird, the best part? The two birds on the front were created with washi tape - red chevron and red and white polka dot! I embossed the birds with clear embossing powder after stamping with SU! Black Craft, I mounted the birds with dimensionals. The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #200 (SSSC200). I also decorated the inside with some matching DP and a bit more stamping; love the sentiment, "everyday is a new opportunity to make a new happy ending."

The red gems on the flag are nail heads from Ladybug Crafts Ink, something new and different!

Be sure to take some time and join the fun at Sweet Stampin', we love seeing your creations!

Thanks for popping in; I hope you have a GREAT weekend.

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Something New

Hi friends; have you been enjoying the holidays? I enjoyed two days, now I'm back to the grind, day in/day out. :D

This week over at Crafts 4 Eternity, our recipe is SOMETHING NEW - hopefully you were gifted with some crafty goodies which you must use? No hoarding...like me!

We are sponsored this week by Floppy Latte Designs, just by playing along and using something "new", you could win a $6 gift certificate!

Sometimes I'm late to the party/trend - and this is one of those times. I finally received a small variety pack of sequins...yeah, they've been around, but they are new to me!! I thought they were a great finishing touch to this card, as well as some seam binding and a small cross charm which I picked up at our local scrapbook store. Image is from Stampabilities; the DP actually included the two little birdies, I just colored them in to make them stand out and match the color scheme.

Thanks for stopping by; I truly appreciate each of you!

White + 1

Hi there! This week at Sweet Stampin' we are playing with white plus 1 other color! I love this "Kisses" image from Penny Black...don't tell, but she's been blowing kisses at me for awhile and I've been ignoring her!

No more, I pulled her out and thought she'd be fun to dress up! But before we get to that, let's talk about what YOU can win just for playing along! This week we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy AND the monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl, win a £10 voucher.

OK, back to sweet Kisses! I stamped her on Copic Xpress It paper and colored in some red accents. Then for the fun! I stamped the skirt on vellum and cut out, it is adhered only at the waist. I then added white enamel dots to her skirt and top (and flowers in her hair) and then below her skirt for the "ruffle", I added puffy stuff and chunky glitter, let it dry, then zapped with the heat gun to puff it up - so cute IRL (well, I think so).

I added some doodling around the edges, some Doodlebug Sprinkles and MME enamel dots, and mounted on PTI Pure Poppy card stock.

Be sure to take some time and join the fun at Sweet Stampin', we love seeing your creations!

Thanks for popping in; I hope you have a GREAT weekend and until next time, I'm wishing you and yours a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Hi friends - thanks for popping in! Hope you are having a GREAT day!!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, its a recipe we all love - "anything goes"! I made this card many, many months ago when my dear friend suffered the loss of her mother-in-law. She lived a good, long life - not sure that makes it any easier - but I wanted to make more of a 'happy' card to celebrate her life! AND while working on 'happy', I ventured into the Mixed Media realm - fun! The rainbow background was created with distress inks on watercolor paper. The image is from Stampin' Up (a really old one) and the sentiment is from Verve Visual. I don't think you can tell in the picture, but I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers. I also flicked on some white paint for a bit more fun. The circles in the corners were done with a stencil and modeling paste colored with reinkers.

On the inside, you can REALLY see the Wink of Stella on the black strip - I took a close up so you could see the shimmer and shine. Just a standard strip of black card stock colored with the glitter pen.

TFL; hope you have a great weekend. Take care!!

Delivering Sweet Christmas Wishes to You!

Hi friends, how are you? I am back with another card for Sweet Stampin' and this week we are celebrating LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS! OK, let's stop right there and everyone who is doing last minute Christmas shopping...raise your hand. Oh yes, I see you and you and you and you and you! HA! Me too - we still have some to do ourselves. But hey, we have 11 more days, plenty of time right!?!

And you know how it goes, play along for your chance to win - and the best part? There's not just ONE chance to win, but TWO!! This week, we are sponsored by Cuddly Buddly with a chance to win a £10 voucher and then the monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl, win a £10 voucher.

For this week's card, I used this fabulous birdhouse image from Ladybug Crafts Ink. Kerry's Christmas images are just divine! I paired it with some totally non-traditional DP by MME, some sewing - and you KNOW I had to add puffy stuff and rock candy for some snow. I also covered all the berries with a clear Wink of Stella pen - oh, I love me some sparkle and shimmer - too bad you can't see it in the photos, but it looks delightful IRL. I roughed up the edges after sewing and added some chevron washi tape - LOVE!!

Thanks for popping in; I hope you have a GREAT weekend and be sure to join the fun at Sweet Stampin', we'll be looking for your creations!

Christmas, Christmas Chaos, Repurpose

How's that for a title? That middle one, 3rd word over - that is SO. MY. LIFE. RIGHT. NOW.!!! I cannot wait for things to slow down a bit!! But we're creating away this week celebrating Christmas!

I'm combining challenges for Wags 'n Whiskers and Crafts 4 Eternity. At Wags 'n Whiskers, we are celebrating Christmas and this will be our last challenge till 2014, so I really hope you'll join the fun!

At Crafts 4 Eternity, we are celebrating Christmas Chaos - again, just insert 'Greenwood' for Christmas - HA HA!! You have the chance to win 4 images from Sassy Studio Designs, check them out HERE!

I am truly not a fairy girl - not my favorite type of images, but I must confess sweet Hannah has stolen my heart. For our last challenge at Wags 'n Whiskers, I did her in mega pink (HERE) and this week she's back in Christmas colors!

And let's talk 'repurpose'; isn't this gift box and ribbon delightful? I received a fantabulous gift inside and I love that you can just slip the bow off; so I fancied it up a bit with a little Hannah tag and tied her on with some red/cream twine. The best part? I have a co-worker with a young daughter; I will give my co-worker a gift card inside the box, not write on the tag and then SHE can use the same box for a gift for her daughter! Talk about repurpose eh? :D

Thanks for popping in; hope you have a GREAT weekend - see you again soon!

Keep it Clean...and Simple!

Welcome back to our LAST challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink for 2013...we'll be back in February 2014!

But for now we're keeping it clean...and simple! Always a fun challenge, more challenging for some than others! I went all WOW - white on white with only a pop of color on the image and the inside of the card. I love this little snowman family;  perfect for some puffy hats and sparkly snow. Card size is 5" x 5"; I then added a white debossed layer, some white organza ribbon and the main image cut with a MFT pierced circle and mounted with dimensionals. Super simple and so hard to photograph!!! :D

I left some of the pictures a bit darker so you could actually see the details. Thanks for stopping by; hope you join the fun at Ladybug Crafts Ink.

PS - our boss, Queenie Poo (Kerry), had a birfday yesterday, be sure to stop by and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

SURPRISE!!

Hi friends, how are you? I am so very excited to be guest designing for  Sweet Stampin' the whole month of December! :D WHEE, going to be a great time!

This week our challenge is RIBBONS! Oh lordy, should I just have made a card with nothing but ribbon? tee hee You know how much I love ribbon; I thinking it goes with almost every card I make - particularly lately!

And you know how it goes, play along for your chance to win - and the best part? There's not just ONE chance to win, but TWO!! This week, we are sponsored by Stamp and Create, win a $20 voucher and then the monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl, win a £10 voucher.

I used MFT's "You Are Unrepeatable" for my image, colored with Copics and water color pencils and then piled on some seam binding from Verve Visual- yummy colors!!! There are 6 loops on that bow, can ya count 'em? LOL I tied them and then spritzed with some water for a bit of a scrunchy/wrinkly look. I finished off the inside too with one of the sentiments "Just a Note".

Thanks for popping in; I hope you have a GREAT weekend and be sure to join the fun at Sweet Stampin', we'll be looking for your creations!

Sketchy Time over at Crafts 4 Eternity

Hi friends!

How are YOU? Me? Meh...I've certainly had better weeks! For the first time in over 2 years, I had to miss a couple of hours of work ill! I'm fully recovered but it certainly set me back in getting things done.

Oh well, that's alright - I'm back this week with a super fun sketch from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity; a great image from Wags 'n Whiskers and some fun little jingle bells - see 'em? :D

You know how it goes, play along using our fabby sketch and you could win 3 free digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch! Some fun, deep, rich colors, yummy chocolate seam binding, grogeous twine from The Twinery and those little jingle bells. And doesn't that look JUST. LIKE. SNOW.??? Seriously?

I used 'puffy stuff' (a gift) on the snowman's hat and for the snow, but once applied for the snow, I added rock crystal candy on top, let it all dry overnight and then heated the next day for the puffiness - cute huh?

Hope you will join us at Crafts 4 Eternity and give the sketch a whirl; we love seeing your creations!
