October 31 - REALLY?

How did we arrive here? LOL This year is just flying by - do you know how many days till Christmas?  EEK!!!

I had yet to participate in Jen's October Sketch For You To Try and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a month!

I am leaving my current job at the end of this week, so I made a funny card to share with several of my co-workers...I was even able to add the initials of the company I work for on the envelope - cute huh?

Nothing fancy - cute papers, some stitching, coloring with Copics, a couple flags and that's it - Stella's pretty darn cute all by herself!

inside
The sentiment on the inside comes with this image and makes me giggle, it says "A pat on the back is only a few inches from a kick in the A@*!"!

Thanks for stopping in; have a great day!

Polished to Perfection

I took some time Sunday evening to stamp 'just for fun' - always feels good to do that! After not feeling well all day Saturday, I really just needed some down time!

I loved the sketch from MFT this week (MFTWSC95), but I was determined to use an image I hadn't used before - Polished to Perfection, so I flipped the sketch to make it work! Love the sentiments that come with the Polished to Perfection stamp set - perfect for any girl! I decorated the inside also stamping another one of the sentiments as well as a portion of the main image - the inside paper was perfect as it says "sweet, adorable" in the lower right-hand corner!

Papers are from MME; I just loved the bright colors and various designs - I mean seriously, I'm an addict of polka dots! Finished it off with a mini label die, flowers, a button, some stitching and some serious glitter for the nail polish - FUN!
Thanks for popping in - hope you have a GREAT week!

BC Awareness - Pretty in Pink

Greetings peeps - sorry to disappear on ya! Boy I did not feel good Saturday, but we had big plans Saturday night - just one of the girls and me. I went sans makeup and fixed hair - EEK - yes, I seriously went out into public with thousands of others. tee hee

You can see what we were up to HERE (at least I HOPE this link works)!

But today I was able to finish up some crafting AND its my last post for Paper Cupcakes for 2012; thank you Nina, I always love the opportunity to color your cupcakes. Yes, I know you draw tons of other things, but I LOVE your cupcakes...and this one was another love! Nina whipped up this gorgeous Breast Cancer Awareness cupcake topped with an apple blossom. The meaning behind the apple blossom is "hope, good fortune and good things to come"; pretty fitting wouldn't you say?

I used Verve's week 5 sketch over at Splitcoaststampers, you can see it HERE, some DP by MME, a bit of sewing, lots of layering and finished it off with this gorgeous rosette ribbon (instead of a sentiment) - the ribbon was originally all white, but I spritzed it with a soft pink from glimmer mist.

I cut out an additional apple blossom and leaves, mounted with dimensionals and then lightly curled the leaves for a more realistic look.

Thanks for stopping by; be sure to join us over at Paper Cupcakes this week!

Halloween Spooks!

Welcome back to Crafty Creations - this week we're celebrating Halloween Spooks! I made witch's brooms with BLOW POP suckers - yum; love those suckers (although the flavor in the gum doesn't last much more than 5 minutes - HA)!

I used Suzanne's design...but mine didn't turn out as cute. I COULD NOT find kraft tissue paper, so I used kraft wrapping paper; it just doesn't bend quite as well as the tissue paper would have. :( Oh well, I still think they are cute!

I colored the "sticks" brown with a Copic to complete the broom effect.

I used a couple images from Repeat Impressions for the tags and tied them on with jute twine; I added the letters "boo" in VersaMagic orange - those "O's" look like silly eyes, don't you think?

Thanks for popping in; hope you'll show us your Halloween Spooks!

I need P!

Welcome back for another challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink - see the title? Yeah, that was the name of our challenge...gotta admit, I had NO CLUE what that meant!! I don't need to P, they call me M. Pee, what kind of P do they need? Oh those bugs - they're trouble!! But I love 'em!!

I had to consult the Queen to determine what was needed, she said anything with a "P"; so I went with pink, pillow, poodle, parkle (oh wait, that actually has an S at the beginning huh?), well I tried!!

I love this Nikki image; she's one of my faves. I used the color combo from CR84FN (pink, tan and cream) and the layout from Splitcoaststampers - paired it all up for a fabby little birthday card.

I colored the image with Copics and then added dazzling diamonds to Nikki's top. The ric rac is cream felt - dee-lish; some stitching and super fun papers from MME finish it off.

Thanks for popping in; join us over at Ladybug Crafts Ink for "I NEED P!".

Hugs,

If the broom fits...

Welcome to another week at Cupcake Inspirations! This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo images - LOVE. THEIR. IMAGES!!

And here is our ADORABLE cupcake image - those are just too cute to ever eat!

I used Stella on a broom with the great sentiment, "If the broom fits...fly it!"; just makes me giggle. The papers are MME (of course) and the layout is Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #74; card is 5" x 5". Some distressing and DTP sponging with Black Soot distress ink and a couple buttons finished it off.

TFL; hope you'll join us over at Cupcake Inspirations!!

25 years with ONE COMPANY?

I'll make 25 years and more with my husband - but 25 years working for the same company? Now THAT'S something to be celebrated and we just had an individual at work hit that mark! AMAZING! They asked me to make a card so it was fun pulling our own sentiments together and then playing with damask images and LOTS of glitter!  :D

The black swirl piece on the inside is all glittery too - it's tape; so cool; I bought some in both black and silver- can't wait to use more of it! The numbers on the front were actually white - I added a layer of Tombow multi-adhesive glue and sprinkled on some black microfine glitter.

inside
I printed the sentiment on white card stock; then stamped the damask image in silver - LOVE how it looks IRL. Lots of black, silver and white - not much stamping beyond the damask image.

Thanks for stopping by -  hope you have a great weekend!

Baby - Oh Baby

Oh baby....my stress level is off-the-charts right now; I was so hoping to work in a little crafting time tonight...always a good stress reliever for me!  :D

I had started this card this past weekend but didn't get a chance to finish it up until this evening - it was either momma gets inky or momma goes crazy...yeah, they ALL suggested I get inky - HA!

LOVE this image from Ladybug Crafts Ink, Baby Baby - absolutely the most adorable baby images! I colored the image with Copics then added white flock to the edge of the blanket - can you see it in the close-up picture? Soft and fuzzy!

Layout is The Sweet Stop (#180), perfect layout; I just turned the layout on its side, added some saddle stitch ribbon with a big ole button and chocolate baker's twine.

Thanks for stopping by; here's hoping the rest of your week is GREAT! Mine will be some long, long days - but trust me, I. WILL. ENJOY. THE. WEEKEND!!!

Message in a Bottle

Look at this GREAT inspiration photo we're playing with a Crafty Creations this week:

photo inspiration
Love...like a message in a bottle, or time in a bottle, or... so many captions for this one!

I used the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge this week; using the typewriter as one of my panels and the pink feather (ahhh....love) in place of the circle.

Inside
Everything was edged with Antique Linen distress ink; the paper for the typewriter was also edged with Frayed Burlap. The typewriter was stamped in Frayed Burlap onto Kraft card stock; the sheet of paper is PTI's Fine Linen.

Super fun image; hope you'll use it as your inspiration and join the fun. Be sure to check out what the other designers have created HERE!

Floral Delights Too - Embossing and Flowers

L@@K, we have new images from Ladybug Crafts Ink - Floral Delights Too; you HAVE to stop by the challenge blog to see all the new images. They are mega-amazing!! And just for visiting the blogs and leaving a comment, YOU have the choice to win one of the new digis!

You see...I originally overlooked the actual "challenge" which was embossing and flowers - OOPS! Alas, I could not let the 'bugsters' down, so I came home tonight and made my little card/tag into this super cool card...well, I think it's super cool! Cuz now you see that little piece on the front? It opens up to show a hidden message and you can write on it...AND you can write on the inside of the card too! :D

Tag open to reveal the inside message
And aren't these birdhouses just adorable? I made 2 of them 3D popping them up on foam tape. The image was colored with Copics and colored pencils; I added glossy accents to each birdhouse and to the little bug on the tree.
The crocheted flower and the ribbon hold the tag shut. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog and then join the fun, we can't wait to see what you create!!

Thanks for peeking in today!
