Christmas Gift - one frame, two inserts

Hi friends - long time, no talk, eh? Life...it gets in the way sometimes. :D

Hope you are wrapping up a GREAT 2014 and looking forward to an even BETTER 2015! This will be my last post for 2014; but I'll be back with lots of new creations in 2015. Anyone making New Year's Resolutions? Me? Meh...not so much, but I do hope to continue on with many solid habits developed in 2014.

Anywho, I have a very dear friend who loves my creations and is always asking me to create something she can frame and put in her office. She saw THIS card recently and wanted it for her office - the colors are a prefect match for her decor. So for Christmas, I FINALLY took the time to create Snowy but also created another piece with a quote about fears/dreams that she has loved for quite some time. This way once the winter season has passed, she can switch out the snowman for this GREAT fears/dreams quote (BTW, she's a marriage family therapist, so this quote is spot on)!!

The glass front pops right out and you can change the inserts. She was thrilled. Hope you like these too; thanks for stopping by.

Take care, see you next year!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Hot Chocolate

Hi friends - hope you are well! We are doing great - busy as usual but I think I may have finally recovered my mojo - boy, when that goes missing, I'm just lost. And you? Ever lose your mojo? Recommendations for finding it? :D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, our recipe features chocolate - actual chocolate, hot chocolate or chocolate colors - you pick! One lucky participant will win 4 images from Sassy Studio Designs!

I went all out and actually created homemade french vanilla hot cocoa as part of the Christmas gifts for my coworkers - it is absolutely scrumptious. You can find the actual recipe HERE. I purchased these small Ball canning jars at Walmart and filled 7 of them to the brim!

I added a cute little picture of a cup of hot cocoa and candy canes to the lid and I'll tie red/white twine on each one...just haven't made it that far in the process! :D

Thanks for stopping by; we can't wait to see what YOU create! Happy holidays!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Christmas

Hi friends - did you have a good week? Ours was another insanely busy one - I'm ready for a break. :D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see any project with a Christmas theme - pretty simple as it IS that time of year! And one lucky person will win 3 free downloads from Stamping All Day.
From Millan.Net
I pulled out this super cute image from Penny Black called Snowy and colored it up keeping everything else pretty simple. I used CAS(E) Sketch #103, I didn't add a sentiment as I kept that to the inside but such a great layout!

I sponged the edge of the main panel with several distress inks: old paper, vintage photo, and tea dye. Image is colored with Copics with a heavy layer of Clear Wink of Stella added to the scarf and stocking cap.

See that cream strip on the inside? It's the 'end' of a 6x6 paper pad where it is attached at the top - HA! Worked out great with the color scheme!!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have time to join us, we love seeing your creations!

Hugs,

2 Cute Ink - December Freebie

Have you joined 2 Cute Ink's newsletter? If not, it's soooo worth it as you get a FREE image each month and we all love a freebie, right? This image is Playtime Winter Penguin and it's adorable!!

I made a super simple card with some fun, cheery holiday paper; I added a strip of liquid platinum embossed paper to the far right and also made a snowflake from the same embossed paper - I am in love with the Hero Arts liquid platinum embossing powder - serious love!! On top of the embossed snowflake, I added a flat white snowflake. The image was colored with Copics and some clear rock Distress Glitter was added to the snowflake; a 3D cap and pom pom finish it off.

Crafts 4 Eternity - Buttons, Beads and Bling

Hi friends - long time, no talk...yes? I'm glad you stopped by!

I have a fun little shaker card using Crafts 4 Eternity recipe of buttons, beads and bling - I used rock crystal glitter, sequins, buttons and some rhinestone gems. Got it going on! :D And just for playing along this week, YOU could win 3 free images from Crafty Sentiments Designs.

I used Jennifer McGuire's newest video about shaker cards to make my card. I used some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste covered with liquid platinum embossing powder for the main panel - don't those gold dots look delightful - LOVE!!! I stamped my image on a piece of acetate and added 3 buttons (BTW, someone PLEASE tell me what ink works on acetate besides Stazon??? Over 24 hours later and the ink was still wet, so I embossed it - HA)!! Anywho, I also used Jennifer's recommendation to glue a few 'shaker' pieces in place so they don't all fall to the bottom.

I used the cut out circle from the main panel on the inside, cutting another circle within, adding a sentiment and one little ornament with an embossed bulb.

Fun - not necessarily a quick card, but definitely fun. Thanks for peeking in; hope you have a GREAT week. Take care!

Hugs,
