Easel Style

Hi friends - welcome back to Ladybug Crafts Ink! Kath felt the need to be super mean challenging and gave us a twofer - easel card and using Magnum and Lily. Well, the Magnum and Lily part was EASY PEASY - no comment on the easel portion - HA!

I whipped up a quick one in some bright, fun, beachy colors! Colored the image with Copics and put it all together - hope you like! AND hope you'll take some time over the next couple of weeks to join the fun; there are so many options for easel cards out there - go ahead, give it a whirl; can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs,

Feeling scrappy!

Thanks for joining us at Crafts 4 Eternity; we have a great recipe this week - use scraps! Oh, you know you have them!
sassy studio designs
This weeks prize is kindly donated by Sassy Studio Designs. One randomly selected winner will receive 4 images from their fabulous collection.

This week we would like you to share projects that use scraps, no cutting into new papers or opening new embellishment packs!

I have become rather mindful in pulling out a pad of 6x6 paper (my favorite size papers) and determining to ONLY use scraps from within the paper pad - and I did it! The Whip Cream and Spearmint card stock were the only full pieces of paper I used; everything else was made from scraps!

The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #216 (SSSC216); I cut the camera several times from various scraps and then pieced it together. Here's a great way to tell I used scraps - look at the center lens area - it's half green, half white - yep, just turned out that way and I love it! LOL

Now for the uber fun play on words from Lil Inkers, The Fine Print - looks like it says "YOU STINK"; but it actually says "without YOU life would STINK"; super cute huh? I used MFT's cute cameras and precious polaroid dies; at the bottom of the polaroid I stamped #friend from Lawn Fawn's Awesome stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you'll pick up a few scraps and join the fun!

Meet Zoey

It's release day over at Whimsy and Stars Studio and we would like you to meet Zoey - isn't she adorable? Eeekkk...so cute!

You can purchase Zoey at Mabelle's Etsy Shop AND to make it even better, sweet Mabelle is giving TWO random winners a selection of one digi image; just visit here at Whimsy and Stars and leave a comment. And to see Mabelle's other amazing images with instant digi downloads, visit her Etsy shop HERE!

I was very inspired by Laurie's two-pocket card HERE that I decided to make one too. And see her flowers with the quirky lines - yeah, I decided to make my own and punch them out of designer paper. There is one at the bottom of the card and 3 on the envelope!

Here is a close up picture of one of the hand drawn flower!

See those hand-drawn flower on the envie - lower left-hand corner :D

There is room on the entire backside of the card and then two tags where you can include messages also - lots of fun scraps of MME paper were used. A scalloped die and little what-nots - wooden heart, an enamel heart, twine, some ribbons - just bits and pieces here and there. The top of the card says "If friends were flowers, I'd pick you."; the bottom includes 4 stickers which say "The Best of Friends."

Thanks for stopping by; I love when you visit!! See you again soon!

Gettin' Sketchy

Hi friends - welcome back to another fun recipe from Crafts 4 Eternity!

crafts 4 eternity
This weeks prize is kindly donated by Crafts 4 Eternity. One randomly selected winner will receive a choice of 3 digital stamps from the C4E collection.

SKETCH
This week we would like to see projects using the sketch below.

Remember earlier this week when I did THIS...well, I did better this time. YIPPEE - YEAH ME!!!
From Millan.Net

I really only missed the little triangle on the side - but really, where would I have put it? That 'picture frame' focal point is mounted with TWO DIMENSIONALS , so it's way up there. LOL

This card is just a hodge podge of different items - the focal point frame and designer paper behind it are from a Studio Calico Project Life kit - LOVE. THAT. FRAME.!!

I cut the "hello" from MFT Stamps 6 times from Charcoal Grey paper and then once from PTI's Hibiscus Burst; glued them all together off-setting the pink one just slightly. Applied 2 coats of wink of stella clear glitter then topped with glossy accents. The flower I found in my stash (:D), that's the best kind of find, and the "friend" sentiment is from PTI's Floral Frenzy. I stamped it in Pumice Stone distress ink and then punched it out. The top and bottom strip is grey with white polka dot washi tape...but the Pure Poppy paper shows through and makes those polka dots a pink color - cool!

Hope you will join along with our sketch this week; we love seeing your creations!

WOW - White on White

Hi friends! How are you? WHAT A WHIRLWIND weekend - and yours? Our youngest daughter and I left after I got off work Thursday for a 3 hour drive and a 3 day volleyball tournament; we returned home last night about 8:15 p.m. I'm exhausted! Hope you had a good weekend!

This week at Ladybug Crafts Ink, Susan has chosen White on White - check out the design team creations, G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S... Me? Well...yeah... sometimes I get lost. LOL Go ahead, stop and pray Queenie-Poo Kerry doesn't fire me!
From Millan.Net

Anywho, I love all the Floral Delight images from Ladybug Craft Ink; I knew immediately I wanted to use the retro jug image - LOVE IT very much!! And with all those flowers...well, I can't help it, colors just JUMPED onto my card! I did just fine coloring it up but then had to go all matchy-matchy with this gorgeous die from Lil Inkers (Stitches and Stripes) using pink and yellow to accent the flowers, then came that gorgeous fluffy bow and some twine with a little flower tag which says "thank you". HA - see, you understand how easily this happens right? :D There is lots of white though...me thinks?

I colored the image with Copics, the little swirls were covered with a clear star gelly pen and each of the large flowers was accented with a white gel pen. Some fun light blue to accent the image.

That's it - super simple card to pull together; hope you will join the challenge and be a wee bit more successful than me at following the directions.

Happy Spring!

Hi friends!! Kaitlyn and I are off to Kansas City this weekend for her final volleyball tournament of the season - hoping for a great weekend! We are staying at Great Wolf Lodge - neither Kaitlyn or I have visited there before; but we should have some down time which means play time!!

Enough of that personal mumbo jumbo (:D); let's get moving on to SPRINGTIME! Here's a card featuring Whimsy and Stars Studios Springtime Bouquet - isn't it gorgeous? That's the great thing about digital images, you can resize them as big...or as little...as you want! I made this a jumbo bouquet celebrating spring! I'm all about some warmer weather!

I printed the Springtime Bouquet on Copic XPress It paper and colored with Copics, I added some white dimensional enamel to the center of the red flowers and some polka dots with a white gel pen. Accented the entire image with B00 and B01 and die cut with MFT's stitched circle die. I added a fabulous butterfly that was actually white with sparkly stripes; I used pink and red to color it up and mount with dimensionals. I added a few flags, a butterfly embossed background and that's it.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great weekend!!

Crafts for Eternity - Anything But a Card

Hi friends - welcome back!! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we are showing you Anything But a Card and boy, did I have fun with this one. Of course, what looks so simple and easy, took quite a bit of time as there are so many small details! And you know, I couldn't make just ONE, I had to make FOUR! LOL

This weeks prize is kindly donated by Crafty Sentiments Designs. One randomly selected winner will receive 3 Digital images from their fabulous collection.

So I made these tags - I just love this die from Memory Box; it's perfect whether you use the matching stamp or not. I printed the Cup of Kindness image from Whimsy and Stars Studio on Copic XPress It paper, then cut with the MB Distress Tag. I colored the Cup of Kindness image with Copics, but also printed just the cups repeatedly on some MME designer paper, then fussy cut each cup. I layered on the paper pieces to the cups, colored the center of each flower with clear Wink of Stella, then added a dot of glossy accents. The sentiments are all from PTI Round and Round and were stamped and embossed on vellum. I just folded the sides of the vellum to create the faux double-edged tag and snipped the ends.

Before paper piecing the cups and vellum, I sponged the edges of the tags with Broken China distress ink. For two of the tags, I sandwiched in a spritzed doily. The back side of each tag is another piece of designer paper, so you can easily add a message; I then finished the tags off with 3 different colors of twine, perfect for tying on to a gift sack or giving just as they are!

Thanks for stopping by for a Cup of Kindness; hope you like the tags! Have a great week and be sure to join us at Crafts 4 Eternity!!

TLT Rewind with a Cherry on Top

Check out what the amazing design team over at Ladybug Crafts Ink has created this week! We're sharing the Cupcake Cuties - and they are CUTE!!

Due to some unforeseen events, I'm sharing a rewind from the past - a sketchy little CAS card. I paper pieced the cupcake cake wrapper, added a sentiment, some glossy accents and sketched in some lines. Super simple.

Hope you will take the time to join us at Ladybug Crafts Ink; we love seeing your creations!!

Hugs, ~M.
