Lean closer...I have "s'more" to tell you!

:D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we are focusing on Back to School! Michele of Crafts 4 Eternity is sponsoring us with YOUR chance to win 3 digital images and boy does she have some good 'uns! That was my midwest accent coming through - LOL!

I no longer have children in elementary school - PRAISE THE LORD - but I'm sure you understand, it means my children have aged...I have not, please DO NOT make the mistake and assume I have - HA!

I made "s'more" cookies - without the fire since I was crafting in my basement, but seriously, aren't they adorable? I got the idea HERE. I put each cookie in its own cellophane bag then added various school themed toppers. Super simple and quick as I was making quite a few!

Then I made a couple notepads, I'm going to deliver all this to the 2 secretaries at the middle school - I bet they'll love a little treat! The notepads were inspired by Debbie Olson, HERE.

Hope you'll join along this week; it's a GREAT theme!

Hugs,

Time to Go

Hi friends - hope you're having a great week! We are back this week at Crafts 4 Eternity with another recipe - this week we're featuring projects with a travel theme. Seems like I had several friends take cruises this summer...yeah, I wasn't one of those people. :( BUT I thought this would be a fun b-day card, the sentiment "just sailing by with a birthday hi" is on the inside.

We are sponsored this week by Sassy Studio Designs and the winner receives 4 images - wow, what an awesome prize - hope you'll join us, we would love to see your travel theme projects!

I once again used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #191 (second time this week - that's when you know it's a GREAT sketch!!).

The image and sentiments are from Taylored Expressions, using lots of new MME products on this one. I "sewed" the waves then colored them with a very light blue marker - kinda like how that turned out. Image was colored with Copics then I added glossy accents to all the windows.

Thanks for popping in; hope you'll join us! Have a great weekend!!

Great quote eh? I didn't have much of a chance to create this weekend, but did sneak in a super CAS (clean and simple) card combining a sketch and a challenge (see below). Super easy - some embossing, some watercolor flicking, stamping, washi tape (LOVE), some enamel dots and that's it!

Sneak Peek at the inside - look at the glitter! :D

Crafts 4 Eternity Summer Sun

Hi - hope you're stopping back by after visiting yesterday? Remember, I promised sun and relaxation! :D

LOVE this bingo card from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity - this is one of the summer bingo cards; perfect for our Summer Sun challenge, don't you think? AND Michele is sponsoring this week's challenge in which you can win 3 digital images; she has lots of bingo cards that are just fantastic, as well as lots of other fabulous images.

I added a few pieces from Verve Visual's Learning to Sail stamp set - the ship, surfboards and sun. I stamped the surfboards directly onto the designer paper and then accented with Copics and colored pencils...then I decided there should be a "boy" surfboard and a "girl" surfboard...AAHHHHHH, lots of glitter on the "girl" surfboard using my clear Wink of Stella pen. L@@K at all that sparkle!! Makes me happy, happy, happy!

I added some waves from Taylored Expressions and some super fun paper on the inside too.

TFL; hope you'll join our Summer Sun recipe challenge this week!

Billie Bear Balloons

Hi friends - how's your week starting off? I had a really rough weekend so I was actually very happy to return to work yesterday!

I'm popping back in this week for a sweet little card as a reminder of our challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink!  Yes I know it's a COLOR challenge, I got a few of the colors in this card - ha ha ha!! I just love these little Billie Bear images; they are all so super cute!

I printed 2 sets of the balloons so I could color and pop the 2nd one up using dimensional adhesive, I also added lots of glossy accents. Which speaking of...my glossy accents bottle ALWAYS, ALWAYS gets stopped up - why is that? I store it upside down but I have to use a pin repeatedly to be able to get it to flow... :( I hate that and because of that I end up with too many air bubbles... even worse? I can't necessarily see the bubbles till its dried. BOO! Makes me so mad; if you have any ideas, please share them with me!

Anyway, I made a cute little round card using the MOJO304 (an oldie, but a goodie).

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT week. AND stop back by tomorrow where we'll be soaking up the sun and doing a little RELAXATION! :D

Great Friend...and Crackle Paint

I had an opportunity to play along with the MOJO305 challenge this week; super fun layout! You can go CAS or add lots of layers...I started off pretty CAS...but strayed! I know...IMAGINE THAT!

I love these flowers and stamped them onto some super fun polka dot paper - you know my obsession with polka dots, right? - anyway, I then sponged them with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and fussy cut 3 different layers, then layered on a thick coat of crackle paint - COOL;once it dried it left this really cool look to the flowers, can you see it in the close-up photo? Love!!

I stitched a couple panels, added some ribbon, a super cute scalloped tag some leaves and dimensional paint to the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great week!

LCI Photo / Color Inspiration

Welcome back to the LCI Challenge and thanks for joining us in July; we loved seeing all your creations!

This week we have a photo / color inspiration picture for you:

I made two cards for this challenge but I will not force ANY of you - even my enemies - to view the first card; LORDY, that was U-G-L-Y!!! So bad that I HAD to create the next night to prove I could make something decent - HA!!

This is a square card with a bit of mixed media going on - FUN!! I splattered on some Twinkling H2O's onto the background of the Aqua Mist card stock - then covered it up - go figure! The doily was painted with some purple Twinkling H2O's and it was ugly...do you see a theme with my creating this week? :-/

I then painted over the purple with a white Twinkling H2O and it was better but still just not right. Well, time to pull out the gesso and paint some more! I added a thin layer of gesso to 'most' of the doily; but the best part is there is still plenty of sparkle and shimmer from the first 2 coats of Twinkling H2O's! I then colored my image and layered it onto some Royal Velvet card stock and adhered those layers to the doily. I added a small decorative border of Royal Velvet also. This card is much better - can't say I'm "thrilled" but heavens to betsy it was certainly better than that first disaster...the one that my daughter picked up and said "is that sentiment supposed to be crooked" - ah, hush wee little girl and GO TO YOUR ROOM. LOL

Hope you'll take some time to join us this month; we so love seeing all the magnificent creations using the inspiration photo, colors above!
