TLT - WOW Pami Style

We seem to talk in acronyms huh?  :D

TLT = Totally Ladybug Tuesday

WOW = White on White

Quick post because this has been one of the l-o-n-g-e-s-t days I have experienced for several months.

I made a hot cocoa bag for the school secretary that was our main contact during our son's crazies - you can catch the deets HERE if you'd like!

Anyway, the packet contains some hot cocoa packets, 2 little candy canes, a peppermint bark snowman and some marshmallows (on the back side which you cannot see). I thought she would like a little treat to let her know how much we appreciated her help.

The day Jared "walked" back into school, she was grinning from ear-to-ear and could not wait to give him a hug...followed by a quick admonishment that nothing like that should ever happen again. LOL

Anyway, I used the "Robyn & Jack - Gotcha" image; I kept the colors very minimal to focus on the white on white; the bottom layer of card stock is embossed with Cuttlebug Snow Dots; tied it all off with some red/white twine.

TFL; be sure to stop by the Challenge blog to see who our new guest designers are AND to join the fun of course; we always love seeing your creations!!

... gotcha! ...

Hugs,

Rockin' Kaitlyn's World

I'm an Okie - yeah, I'm a Boomer Sooner too - don't hold it against me, in fact, I married a Nebraska Cornhusker so I guess we're a divided household, but our youngest daughter has my passion for The University of Oklahoma!

The lead trumpet player of the OU band was the ring bearer in our wedding! He is an amazing, absolutely amazing trumpet player!

This year as part of Kaitlyn's Christmas gift, we were able to purchase tickets to the game. But that was nothing, we were able to connect with Tyson (lead trumpet player) and attend the band warm-up, the pre-game band concert, etc. SO. MUCH. FUN!!!

We were blessed to stay with my cousin and his family and not have to get up at and hit the road at 2:30 a.m., instead, we only  had to get up at 4:00 a.m. to head out. :D We arrived bright and early for band practice from 5:30 to 7:30 a.m., it was so much fun.

It was very cold, windy and lightly rained throughout the day but that didn't dampen our spirits. Again SO. MUCH. FUN!

Here's a few pictures from the day:
Everest Indoor Training Center - where the band warmed up.

OU logo on the floor of the Everest Indoor Training Center -
couldn't resist taking Kaitlyn's picture on the logo!

See that guy? He's on the side of the SEMI-TRAILER that carries the band's instruments AND he's the lead trumpet player that was the ring bearer in our wedding. :D It was raining so Kaitlyn was well protected, but we think it's amazing to see him on the side of the truck!!
This is Tyson leading the trumpet section during warm-ups!

Sitting in the stands prior to the start of the football game!

AND to make it a perfect day, the SOONERS won. Great day, great fun and AMAZING MEMORIES!!

Hugs,

CIC 138 - Whimsy Stamps

We are sponsored this week by:
And if you haven't checked out their stamps, please do so - something for everyone, I promise!

Our inspiration confection for this week:

Seriously, how cute is that little gingerbread house - every little bit looks edible - YUM!!! I won an image from Whimsy Doodles awhile back and had yet to use it - what a perfect opportunity! Thankfully our mailbox DOES NOT look like this yet - love the cooler temps, but I don't need any snow just yet - LOL!

The red layer was spritzed with Marshmallow glimmer mist - tough to see, but maybe you can see the incredible sparkle in the close-up picture? I added puffy stuff for the snow and then sprinkled it with large glitter pieces.

I painted the jingle bells white because I love white jingle bells - no other reason - HA! I edged the green layer with a white gel pen and some wonderful red/white twine finished it off. Go ahead, find some inspiration within that amazing cake and then join us over at the Cupcake Challenge!

... keeping warm with a gorgeous winter scarf ...

Hugs,

Booty!

HA - that title caught your attention didn't it? And you also remembered I said I would show you my booty earlier this week now didn't you?

Tee Hee - well, here it is:

HA - would ya look at that? "Booty is in the eye of the beholder" and her booty is looking mighty fine, don't you think?  :D

Another super fun image and sentiment from Hambo Stamps; the layout is The Sweet Sunday Sketch found HERE. And now that I pop back over and look at the layout, I left off the strip across the top - OOPS! I was just too excited about showing my booty. LOL

I stitched around the main panel and added some sponging with VersaMagic Sahara Sand. The piggy is mounted on Sweet Blush and Dark Chocolate and the Dark Chocolate scallops are accented with Cotton Candy stickles. A few chocolate pearls finish it off!

Thanks for popping in; for those in the USA, I hope you have a great Turkey Day!

I would like to enter this challenge:

The Spotted Chick - That's Krafty Thursday

... the turkey says "EAT HAM", but not this cute booty ...

Hugs, ~M.

TLT - Winter Blues Laurie Style

This week the TLT gang is doing the Winter Blues per Laurie's request. I have LOVED seeing all the cards with lots and lots of blue, be sure to pop over to the challenge blog to see all the amazing creations!

Before we move on to my card, don't forget the Stamp of the Month (half price all month long) - see above!

I chose to use Vanity Reindeer again cuz she's BEAU-TI-FUL and loves looking at herself in the mirror to truly bask in her beauty. Tee Hee!!

I loved using MME for the blue papers - nice variety of blues - wish I could have gone totally monochromatic, but I just could not bring myself to color a blue reindeer. Hmph! I used glossy accents for the ornaments as well as the mirror and some black enamel for the sweet girl's nose.

Hope you'll join us over at the TLT challenge blog this week!

... no winter blues here, just gorgeous reindeer! ...

PS - the Lovely Ladybugs are looking for 3 Guest Designers to join us for the month of December (3 challenges=3 projects to make). If you would like to be considered for one of the Guest Designer spots, just enter this week's challenge and enter "GD" after your name. Good luck - we can't WAIT to see what you create!
